Questions & Answers

We've only had our vacuum for a few weeks, but when we turn it on, it smells like dog. Is there anything that we can ?

One Shark Vac is for my indoor carpet and another one is for a gross, muddy room in my screened porch. I have two dogs and two Shark Vacs (one is for carpet and the other is several years old). I recommend the following vaccines In the aftermath of every vacuuming, I remove and wash the filters (Agree with other poster Baking soda absorbs odors) I sprinkle baking soda on my carpets before vacuuming 2 visits to the dentist every 2 Every time I use the dustbin, I also empty it immediately. Maintain the system After cleaning the dust bin, I wipe it down with vinegar and then I empty it in the trash Towels (spray, wipe, then wipe again with water Using only damp towels), and the gasket seals with water/alcohol (equally as they do with H2O/vinegar) once every month or two, and then placing a bit (approx. 2 tablespoons) of baking soda during the dry period This sounds like it would take a long time, but I can do both in less than 5 minutes between television episodes. I bet you will be surprised how dirty your vac filter is after just one use if you crack open the lid and peek inside. Like a motor on a car, anything with a filter should not run if it is clogged. As a result, I have spare filters galore, an awesome suction on my old "outdoor" Shark, and neither ever smell like old dirty dogs despite my old, dirty dogs.

As far as the shark navigator lift is concerned, it - ?

You will hear a change in tone when the brush makes contact with the carpet once you turn it on and lower the brush head slowly one click at a time. Once the brush head is pressing hard against the carpet, drop it a few more clicks until you can notice the tone of the brush head getting lower. You can then click again to return to the previous page. It is at that height that you will be able to clean optimally, and the brush head will actually assist the unit in cleaning They are able to move on their own.

How well does the 360 perform on thick pile carpets?

Unlike other carpet treatments, it doesn't work well on thick pile carpets. There is no way for us to vacuum our think pile in the bedroom with this device.

Despite its small size, this vacuum is quite powerful
3/5

The older, bulkier vacuum I replaced had lost suction and I bought this one to replace it. I have been impressed with the performance of this little vacuum so far. As soon as it arrived and I took it out of the box, I was a little concerned about how narrow the vacuum would be. At first glance, I thought that it was going to take me a long time to clean my floors. Thankfully, the vacuum arrived in several large pieces so I was able to put it together using the manual. I put it together on my own in a few minutes, and it was very simple. I read through all the features and how to use them once I had it all put together. If the canister is detached from the roller base, it can be used to clean stairs or other awkward areas. In addition, there is an upholstery attachment with a roller that spins when connected to the wand and the vacuum is running. As well as the stairs, this is useful. The tool has a crevice tool as well.

With this vacuum, I'm able to pivot and turn incredibly easily and it's lighter than my previous vacuum. A very powerful suction is also present in this vacuum, making it appear almost as if it is self-propelled. If you are vacuuming a carpet or area rug that is thick or you are trying to prevent the vacuum from grabbing onto your carpet, you can adjust the suction as well. As I started to use this vacuum, it had only been a couple days since I had vacuumed my home with my old vacuum, yet I had filled an entire canister just vacuuming the rugs in the living room and dining room, As of now, I am very pleased with my purchase. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. If you found it helpful, I hope you will.

A pressure switch issue (as well as how I fixed it)
3/5

It is a great vacuum when it is working. There is ample suction and it is lightweight and easy to operate. As a result, I would have given it a 5 out of 5 rating. Then (you guessed it, didn't you? Infrequent use and a few months of using the roller brush caused the brush to stop working. Fortunately for me, the internet/YouTube helped me because after searching for others having this issue, I found a video listing the problem and suggesting how to fix I had to decide whether to throw it away or fix it because this is not a covered item under warranty. The problem must be fixed. A set of Torx Secure Head bits that is extra-long is needed for the project I'm working on, so this is a good one to purchase (I had to take apart the vacuum according to the video (there were a lot of hidden screws) and I had to splice the wires together to make the vacuum Having the roller brush always on simply means that it will keep spinning even when the brush is in the Even so, it is not a bother, and I would rather have the switch go bad than have it go out It's obvious, obviously. I'm not sure if there is a YouTube video with a fix, but if there is, I'd appreciate a YouTube video. When it occurs more than a few times, it means it is a recurring event.
