Selected User Reviews For Kenmore Elite 31150 Pet Friendly Bagged Upright Beltless Vacuum w/Pet Handi-Mate, Triple HEPA, 3D Inducer Motor, Telescoping Wand, 5-Position Height Adjustment, 3 Cleaning Tools
Following my 20-year hiatus, I decided to try something new When my old Hoover died, I spent months researching vacuum cleaners online before deciding on this Kenmore, which had the majority of the features I needed. I took a chance because the user reviews were almost all negative, but Consumer Reports gave it a good rating, so I gave it a try. It's all about living and learning. br>It's a large, difficult-to-maneuver machine. I'm a scrawny 5'7" and 110 pounds, and despite the fact that this vacuum isn't self-cleaning, It drags me around the house because it is propelled. It's not easy to bring the vacuum cleaner back to me. This is most likely not the vacuum for you if you have any type of injury or mobility issue. It's also extremely loud, as many others have noted. br>The vacuum hose is absurdly short, and the telescoping wand, despite having a locking mechanism to keep it in place, refuses to stay attached. It's claimed to have a 10-year warranty. ft reach, but I'd be surprised if it's even half of that. Unless you live in a Hobbit house, you will not be able to vacuum your ceiling fans with it, despite what the listing claims. The brush attachments are angled in such a way that they can only be used from a standing position, so you won't be able to clean under low furniture with them. It was impossible for me to vacuum beneath the beds. br>This model is supposed to clean up pet hair, but I had to pull a LOT of dog fur out of the vacuum brushes and roller. Similarly, this machine is recommended for allergy sufferers, but after vacuuming, I had to clean a lot of dust off the outside of the machine, so I'm not sure how useful the HEPA filter or the bagged design are. br>Overall, I was disappointed with this purchase, and I would not recommend this model to anyone.
When I opened the box, everything appeared to have been crammed inside; the foam was broken and scattered throughout the interior, the vacuum had scratches, and it appeared to be a floor model. It doesn't appear that I got anything new. In addition, the vacuum had a bag in it.
It was around 5 years old at the time, and I absolutely adored it! My kids had bought me one of those robot vacuum cleaners (Eufy) for Christmas, so I gave it to my son. It works fine, but it can't handle my cat's hair or all of the quilting threads. As a result, I did some research and returned to what I know works! This Kenmore is the only appliance I would ever buy. It is heavy, according to some. Okay, that's fine. What exactly are you looking for it to accomplish? Do you want something that cleans your carpet or something that is simple to use but leaves you unsatisfied? People, I suppose, will always find a reason to complain. Get this vacuum if you need something that will do the job well and you don't mind pushing something a little heavier. Nothing else compares in terms of effectiveness. It's bagged, which I like. I'm in my 60s and have never liked bagless vacuums, but I can handle this just fine. When I'm done, it always does what I want it to do.
It isn't particularly light, but I don't mind because it feels solid and is easy to push. The headlight, dirt indicator, and onboard tools are all features I appreciate. After the first time I used it, my carpet appeared to be cleaner. I prefer it to my Dyson or Shark, and I prefer the clean hepa filter bag disposal to the messy Dyson or Shark. removing the dusty canisters and cleaning them It's been a month since I got it, and I've been using it almost every day since then. This vacuum is one that I would strongly recommend!.
Suction, maneuverability, and portability are all excellent. light and airy.
Consumer Reports gave this vacuum the highest rating, despite the fact that many people rave about Sharks and Dysons. I was completely taken aback by this vacuum. It is self-propelled and has incredible suction and power. My husband and I were immediately impressed, and we noticed a significant difference between it and our other upright. I also appreciate the fact that the carpet height can be adjusted manually. We recently got new carpets and were told that if we had a problem, the manufacturer's warranty would be voided; they came out and saw the carpet fibers ruined from standard vacuums pulling too hard; we were told to vacuum carpets at the lowest setting; however, I love that I can change the height for rugs and flooring. This purchase has made me extremely happy!.
It's difficult to push through the vacuum because it's heavy. I'm in my 70s, so younger, stronger people may be able to do it. Also, because the rubber hose is so short, I can't vacuum my drapes or reach higher places with it. I'm returning it because I don't think it's right for me.
I had no idea it came with a drive. br>I like how the switch from carpet to floors works so well. It's great that it has a Heppa filter bag included. Allergies should be greatly aided by this.
