I wanted a vacuum that would collect animal fur well and have great suction. As a result of reading a few reviews, I figured I'd give it a go. After vacuuming the carpet several times and emptying the cannister, my old cleaner started picking up more and more debris, so I decided to run it over the new carpet once more. I am glad I managed to do this because my old cleaner's canister was full when I was finished. Suction is incredible. Such a high pitch sound. Comparing a brand new vacuum with an old one, any new vacuum should have the following features. This is an arm workout in the literal sense. I do not hear a lot of high pitch buzzing, but it's almost too much at times. There should be a light on it. It would have been convenient if it had a variety of heights, but the foot button to switch from carpets to hardwoods is a handy feature.

I assembled it as soon as I received it and tested it right away. As my previous vacuum broke last week, I was able to vacuum one last time, so I didn't expect this vacuum to be as powerful as that.
