I had hoped for better performance from such a high-priced vacuum. The Zero- M technology was a complete failure. I had to remove the cover and cut out all the hair and fur by hand after using the vacuum three times; don't pay extra for "technology" that doesn't work.

This is my second Shark Apex (the first was the green version, which didn't have the Zero-G feature). M) and now I'm having the same problem as I did with the first: it's super simple to assemble right out of the box-- I also appreciate how sturdy they are (as opposed to some vacuums that appear to be poorly constructed). br>The problem I'm having, and had with the first, is that it keeps stopping in the middle of a sentence. push. The entire system behaves as if it has been unplugged and simply shuts down. I took the first vacuum back to Lowes because I thought there was a shortage in the wire piece that connects to the vacuum on the side, and I decided to order from Amazon (faster shipping). I've had this one for about two weeks, and I can't even get it to turn off in my home's hallway (which isn't a large space). For the first one, I called CS and they demanded $20 in order to send me a replacement cord - This vacuum cost me over $300 and I only used it for a few weeks. I'm not going to pay another $20 to have it mailed to me. He also stated that if the motor becomes too hot, it will shut down automatically. I'm not sure if that's what's going on in this situation- I'd understand if I was vacuuming large areas or for extended periods of time; I only had my vacuum on for 5 minutes to vacuum my tiny hallway and couldn't even get it halfway done before it shut off. br>As a result, I'll have to return this vacuum cleaner to Amazon- Despite the fact that I admire its incredible suction- Buying a new one isn't worth the trouble. br>I'm disappointed because I'd heard that Shark was superior to Dyson from so many people. =/ I guess I'll just have to figure it out on my own!.

One of the two tabs had broken off when we looked at it from the back. It's only a nickel for the whole thing. We contacted SHARK, who informed me that I would have to BUY the entire roller for around $89, and that was all they could do. BEYOND BELIEF.

In November of 2018, I purchased this product. It's only the beginning of March 2019, and one of the roller's connecting pieces has broken. It's a small black plastic connector that allows the roller to move around. I called Shark to see if we could get a replacement connector piece because it was such a recent purchase. I was told that only the motor is covered under warranty, and that I would have to buy a new roller. It is not necessary to replace the roller because it is in good working order. All I needed to do was replace the roller's small black connector. It should've cost no more than $5. No, I couldn't just buy that piece for a hundred dollars. I was told that they don't sell that part separately and that I'd have to buy a new roller altogether. I'd have to pay $89 for a new roller. 00, with a shipping fee of $20. The final cost would be $111 and change after taxes. I told them that this was ridiculous. After some back and forth, they agreed to halve the price and waive the shipping fee. Then, after I agreed to the purchase, I was told that the roller would be three to six weeks out of stock. This indicates that this is a common issue with this device, and that the replacement is in such high demand that it has a three- to six-month lead time. Backordered for a week. After this incident, I'm not likely to buy another Shark product because their warranty isn't complete and they don't stand behind replacing faulty items.

The Shark APEX Upright Vacuum is a nice vacuum with some features I like, and it was very easy to put together when it arrived. It came with instructions, but it only took 5 minutes to put together. There was no need for instructions. We've had a Dyson animal for ten years, but this is our first time trying a Shark vacuum, so I can compare the two. br>br>The swivel is the biggest difference, and it took me a while to get used to it. At first, I thought it was a self-propelled mower because it just seemed to want to go. Moving forward was simple, while pulling back required a little more effort (but not as much as the Dyson or other vacuums). The suction was effective. There are three options available: carpeting, thick, thin Floor is made of hardwood a switch on the handle is moved The scene comes to life. It's a beautiful wooded setting. I have rugs that I use as accent pieces. The kitchen has runners, I think the Dyson does a better job on those, but they both work well on carpets. larger area rugs. br>br>The best feature, in my opinion, is the detachable canister. It's 10 times easier to vacuum the stairs now. In comparison to the Dyson, this vacuum has a higher score for this feature. You could get a smaller vacuum or a handhold separately, but it's nice to have it included in this one. It has a good HEPA filter. I'm excited to see how well the bristle guards perform. We'll be picking up hair with the comb, so it has to work. There's also pet hair. br>br>On the vacuum, there is space for two of the four included attachments. It's hard to fathom why this is the case. Either include a bag to store all of the attachments or put them all on there. We currently have two random parts on a shelf in the closet. I'm hoping they don't end up in the wrong hands. br>br>In terms of noise, it claims to have "Noise Reduction Technology: Noise reduction and pitch softening have been meticulously tuned. " There isn't any silence here. It's not as loud as the Dyson, but I don't believe it's any quieter. To me, it appears to be about the same. The cord is quite thick. br>br> a very long time Approximate size is 30 feet x 360" Overall, I believe this is a good vacuum. Getting used to the swivel is the most difficult task for me. Someone who has used swivel vacuum cleaners before might find this easier. Would I suggest it? br>br> Yesbr>Would it be appropriate as a present? Yesbr>I hope this review was useful to you.
