So I was drawn to this one because of the price and the size. So far, everything has gone exceptionally well. It's been about a month since I got it, and it's been great. I really like how it has a few mobility and height options. If you want it to be a little shorter, you can remove the casters. (The can will be 32 inches tall with this option. ) If you want it to stay in place, you can add casters for mobility (with the option to turn on the "brakes" on two of the included casters). (The can will be 34 3/4 inches tall if you choose this option. ) They also had screwdrivers. br> If you prefer, the cans can be placed in stands, allowing you to adjust the height. br>br>I'm deducting one star because it came with a dent right out of the box.
: (br>br>I noticed a lot of negative feedback about receiving a dented can. I was crossing my fingers that I'd be one of the lucky buyers who got a dent-free car. I was given a free can, but alas, I was not spared from the poor quality- At whatever can factory these come from, there appears to be a control check in progress. br>It was only on one side and near the bottom, so I simply rolled it around and turned it into the "back" of the can. br>As others have stated, once you tear into everything, start packing everywhere, and unload the majority of it, it becomes a hassle to have to pack it all up to return it. So I didn't bother, but it would be nice if the seller took notice of how many people are receiving dented cans and addressed the issue. br>br>For trash bags, I purchased Walmart's 20 gallon compactor bags as well as the 30 gallon drawstring trash bags. Both of these solutions are excellent. br>I haven't tried the 13 gallon, but I've seen where others have tried it and it was too small or ripped. Just going with the larger bags, because 13 gallon bags defeat the purpose of purchasing a larger can in the first place. )br>br>When we have parties, we love how big it is, and I love not having to clean up a mess. No longer a trash can on the top.
Oh. Another disadvantage I've noticed (though it isn't always a big deal) is the "open hole" where you throw your trash away. Because it’s just my husband and I most of the time, and because I rarely cook at home, it’s definitely takes us longer than your average family to fill the larger% As a result, when we throw any small amount of food in there that will sit for a couple of days, it has a tendency to stink up pretty quickly. br> I never noticed this with our old trash can (which had a swung-close top), but I do with this one. br>br>In order to address this, (when I do decide to cook;) ) I've started rinsing out my food cans before discarding them. Alternatively, I can simply walk the potential "smelly items" to the nearest large bin on the side of the road. (This is especially true if the bag is brand new or empty. ) br>I don't want my house to smell like rotten garbage, and I despise throwing away garbage bags. I bought the minty trash bags, but they weren't enough to mask the stench of open garbage. br>For me, it's still not a deal breaker. ) The larger, nicer can is my favorite. I just wish it could close because I'm using it for kitchen trash. br>br>My sister (who has a family of three and cooks every day) told me that they fill their 13 gallon container at least once a day. This isn't an issue for larger families, as it happens twice every now and then. (Or even for two-person households, such as ours, who simply enjoy cooking on a daily basis;) They'd be more likely to empty their bins on a regular basis. br>I just wanted to make sure I listed any issues I had with this can, and if your small family lives a similar lifestyle, be aware that the open hole on this can may result in odors. )br>br>Aside from that, I'm still pleased with my purchase! These days, smaller stainless steel garbage can sell for much more. br> I'm confident that I got a fantastic deal!.

Before writing a review, I waited about a year to see how well it held up. I bought this trash can for my home, not an office, because it looks nice and has wheels, which I like. My old one didn't have wheels, which seems strange now. The wheels are absolutely fantastic. br>br>Trash bags are a problem. If I buy regular drawstring bags, I have to stretch them as much as I can to get them to fit without splitting down one side; it's actually easier to buy the cheap 'ruffies' brand bags with stretchable sides. They don't have drawstrings, but they do have flaps, which, in my experience, tend to fit better. br>br>It can be difficult to clean the stainless steel body. I've tried a variety of cleaners, and while they do remove the food or whatever mess is on the can, some 'drip lines' remain. This is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 star rating.

I needed something bigger after getting rid of an old, ineffective small trash bin in the garage, so I went to my local Home Depot and looked around, but most of the cans and bins were too expensive for the poor quality. I eventually came across this and decided to give it a shot because of the positive feedback. I was overjoyed when the garbage can arrived. The stainless looked fantastic, and it was incredibly simple to put together. The bin comes with pegs that can be used as feet instead of wheels, making it ideal for use in the garage. In terms of size, I couldn't be happier. This trash can holds enough trash to fill a 30 gallon bag, and the hole in the lid makes tossing items in a breeze.

I got this one because our old one was becoming filthy and old, and lo and behold, I no longer have this problem! It's incredible! I leave it out in the kitchen all day; I think the wheels and lid frighten him a little, but that's fine with me; the only time he touches it is when it's full and he can reach in to grab something. br>I believe this is obviously a shop or garage style, but if you have dogs, it will be a huge help! As others have pointed out, it has screws on the inside that will snag the bags; I simply followed their advice and covered each one with electrical tape. I was not compensated or given a discount in exchange for writing this review (oh, how I wish!).

It looks fantastic! I bought this because I was tired of having to change trash bags every day or two in my 13 gallon trash can, and it also looks great and matches our kitchen. Unfortunately, the wheels did not fit under my cabinet; however, I am hoping to find smaller wheels that will. If liquid leaks into the bottom, I'm not sure how easy it'll be to clean. In addition, after installing the handles, I noticed that the screws were catching the trash bags and ripping them. So either get some really tough bags and don't push trash down into them, or do what we did and cover them vertically with electrical tape. So far, everything has gone well. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> This has been in my possession for about three months. I bought thicker trash bags and taped the handles as well as the inside lip of the trash can where the bag was catching and ripping. Also, when there was a tear in the bag with liquid in it (we tried not to throw liquids away-- Usually, liquids are placed in something in case of a rip) the trash can't be easily cleaned at the bottom. In my opinion, it is a poorly designed trash can, but its appearance is what drew me in. Regrettably, I continue to switch bags on a regular basis.
