I love the design, build quality, finish, etc. I especially love the design. I appreciate the ease of use of the slow close mechanism. I have never seen a collar like this to secure a bag better. There is one seemingly minor detail that caused me to decrease my rating to four stars. I was disgusted by the sticker that was attached to the can. Peeling it off was a very careful and patient process for me. The material shrank and glue residue was left on the parts that came off. I find "Goo Gone gel" to be the best adhesive remover. I soaked it in for 15 minutes, but it had little effect. My next step was to try isopropyl alcohol, vinegar, and In order not to damage the finish, I used only paper towels, no abrasives. After letting it stand for 30 minutes, I flipped the can over and placed it on the floor flat. The last two cycles of cleaning and reapplying and finally wiping off with a degreaser finally allowed me to come out of the other side. After over 90 minutes of time spent on this (45 minutes waiting for the solvent to work), the sticker was only partially removed. The grain of the metal still appears to be residue. In any case, note to marketing, the sticker did not contain any information that would have been useful to me. There was no information on the system because it had been acquired elsewhere.

When I called Kohler again to confirm the finish would match, they told me they would have to send it back. So I tried all types of cleaners, including alcohol, windex, and stainless cleaner, but none were successful. This is a great trash can that was ruined by cheap stickers on Kohler. The item has been returned to me.

Despite the fact that it looks as advertised and sits flat against the wall, we found a serious design flaw which made it unsuitable for our needs. In order to open the lid, you need to press the pedal, which causes the rim to jump, causing it to hit the bottom and make a loud clanging noise. As other reviewers have said, the adhesive label on the front of the can leaves an unacceptable residue of glue that cannot be removed. The package was heavy and took a lot of effort to remove, as repacking and returning an item of this size is a headache. As a matter of fact, I broke my back trying to resolve this Because of my disability, I didn't want to deal with this issue. As I am having a replacement sent, since the can is for my mom and that is the one she requested. As for the replacement, I will follow up with my luck. The following is the status This is not recommended at all. You could save yourself a lot of trouble.
