Let's start with the disadvantages, which are few: These aren't worth $70; they're more akin to snap-on containers. They leave large gaps between them, wasting about a quarter of your shelf space that you could fill with small items like seasoning envelopes, but it will look cluttered; alternatively, if you're physically impaired, this may be a pro as it makes taking the thing off the shelf very easy; and third, they're quite difficult to pull apart when you receive them, to the point where it has an instructional video, which I didn't watch, but all the videos in the world won't help you. It is not suitable for the elderly or physically challenged. Otherwise, I think they're great; they're neat, clean, feel good in your hand, and look nice. I like that you can put the label wherever you want; I put mine on the side for my kids, but I don't have to worry about them looking cluttered because I know what they're for. The tops seal easily and well, making them relatively easy to open even with physical impairment or a lack of hand strength; none of my seals were missing. If you want to spend $70 on tall snap wear, it's definitely worth a look, but the $50 price point is where it belongs.
complete transparency For my pantry, I purchased two distinct brands of food storage containers. This is, without a doubt, the best brand available! The fact that the containers are transparent rather than opaque is one of my favorite features. It's simple to see what's inside and how much of each product you still have. The labels are adorable and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. That was fantastic. The labels had easy-to-remove stickers on them. The chalk marker has a fine tip that makes it easy to read labels. The container's closing mechanism is also one of my favorites. The lids on the other brand I purchased were extremely difficult to secure. These give me complete confidence that when I reach for my rice and tip the container, the lid will be snug and no nightmare spills will occur. Even someone with arthritis or shaky hands would be able to use the closure. This product is 100% the best quality food storage container on the market and I strongly recommend it. With me, you'll have a lifelong customer!.
a container EVER! I took my time writing this review for the 2020 Pandemic Pantry Project. I watched a video of one of the customers and read all of the reviews, but not before checking out a variety of other storage container brands. I began with the most extensive collection. I ran a water test and discovered that there are no leaks! I currently reside in the state of Florida. I needed something that would stand up to the elements. These will, without a doubt, work. Puffcorn is one of my favorites. They're similar to cheese puffs, but they're not as heavy. I put a bag in a container, and they were still as fresh a week later as the day I put them in. DO NOT BE HESITANT IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THESE. You will not be disappointed. And, of course, the customer service is exceptional. If Waleed reads this, please accept my heartfelt gratitude for the brand new set you sent to replace the ONE piece that was broken during shipping. Amazing. I am overjoyed that I was able to purchase five different sets for my pantry needs. Depending on which set you choose, you'll also get labels, a chalk marker, and a set of measuring cups or spoons. I'm even thinking about getting more of the tall, slim pasta sets that come with a tool to help you measure the amount of pasta for various serving sizes. They are extremely well-informed. Chefspath, I'd like to thank you once more. 5 stars.
However, the dimensions are unusual. When I unpacked the big set, my heart sank at the prospect of having to wash and dry everything. I have a portable dishwasher and could only fit half of them in at a time, not the tall ones, so I handwashed them all, which removed the plastic odor, and then hand dried them because I didn't have room to have them covering every inch of counter space for the next four days to dry. This necessitated the use of three thick dish towels as well as several paper towels. br>br>At long last, it was time to fill them! I began with the contents of my baking cabinet - With a shelf in the middle, it's the standard above-the-sink size. Tall ones didn't fit standing up and barely fit lying down (the cupboard door hangs open about 1 mm). Because of their odd tapered shape and bulky lids, they are unwieldy on their side. br>br>I've never been a fan of the four snap lids, but you have to make compromises for the sake of organization. Findings on sizing- In one tall container, I managed to fit two bags of brown sugar. In the second smallest container, I crammed one jumbo and half a regular bag of chocolate chips. A 3 pound bag of sugar would fit almost perfectly in a tall one. A quarter-used box of corn starch fit into a small one just barely. I transferred as much as I could from my baking cupboard to my snack cupboard, then to my miscellaneous cupboard, leaving me with 5 containers of various sizes (after using two small ones without lids to organize some of my silicone stretch lids and reusable ziplock bags). br>br>As you might expect, drying these was a nightmare. Water always gets in/around/under the silicone ring in the lid, even after leaving it out and then hand drying it with a towel and then a paper towel. This is a significant flaw that will result in mold and mildew. br>br>Depending on the height and depth of your cabinet, the shape will work. br>br>The stickers and marker work fine, but the marker takes a long time to dry, and mine smudged easily unless I let it sit for 5 minutes before peeling it off and applying it. PROS: br>br> Can only be beneficial to the company. Airtight and secure. There are no extra labels, but it includes everything you need. CONS: br>br> They are not 100% recycled materials and come with an insane amount of plastic waste for packaging, drying is a problem, moisture in the lids is a problem, they are not 100% The marker and measuring cups are wrapped in non-toxic plastic, as are all of the containers. Each individual sheet of labels is made of recyclable plastic. This isn't required, and it's actually counterproductive. My sugars and salt clump together and become hard/solid. If only one flap is loosened, the lids come off with it. I'll keep using them, but I'm not going to buy any more. I have 9 year old ikea glass containers with no clamp lids and silicon seals that keep dry goods 100% dry and were much cheaper than new containers.
