Why does it say waterproof when the egg holder has small holes in it?

Lock N Lock makes two types of egg holders, according to my research: One is airtight and waterproof, while the other isn't (it has small holes). The 18- The airtight egg capacity holder is advertised, as is the 12-egg capacity holder. Not in the case of the egg capacity holder. Each size holder's base is made of a different type of plastic: 18- The egg is opaque and 12-inches long. It's a transparent egg. Amazon combines reviews and Q&A into a single category. When you put an A and an apostrophe together, you get a lot of ambiguity. Read the listings carefully so you can spot the differences and buy exactly what you want. If you want an airtight/watertight seal, get the 18-inch seal. Even if you aren't going to have that many eggs inside, an egg holder will come in handy.

Is it possible to stack these able?

Yes, similar to the egg holders made of paper or plastic. We keep them stacked in the refrigerator on a regular basis.

The previous question had caught my attention. I'd like to know if they're free of BPA. Is there anyone who knows for sure?

Is it true that for $19 you can get three containers? Isn't it 99? 99 dollars for each container?

Price is for a set of three 12 hole egg storage boxes.br>Eggs are not included in the price.

These are the ones I have
4/5

There are a few things you should be aware of. Since the spring of this year, I've been a new chicken owner. There are six lovely ladies! As a result, I now receive four to six eggs per day. Oh, I use eggs in my meals on a daily basis, but I always have extras, so these containers are fantastic; I adore them. I purchased three three-piece sets for a total of nine. Some claim that getting eggs out of the deep egg holes is difficult. Despite the fact that I have problems with my fingers and grasping, getting eggs out is not difficult for me. I even have Bantam Silkie chickens, which lay very small eggs. If you have a problem, simply place a cotton ball in the hole's bottom. br>One thing I didn't consider when purchasing them was how simple it is to open the container while holding several eggs in your hand; I go out and get eggs, then come back in and grab a carton from the fridge. However, because all four sides of the carton snap on, opening it requires two hands. As a result, I must lay the eggs. Usually, I just leave them on the counter and hope they don't roll away while I open the container. It's not a big deal; I'm sure I'll get used to it. br>One last thing I noticed is that they can easily become UNstacked when stacked, as in sliding sideways off the one they're stacked on. It could be designed to stay stacked better, in my opinion. In case you're wondering, I only stack two high. So, these cartons are a big hit with me. The things I mentioned are merely cautionary notes to be aware of before making a purchase, not actual issues. Because they don't stay stacked very well, they only get four stars.

Not watertight at all! These containers were purchased with the intention of being used while camping
3/5

Everything in the ice chest was becoming waterlogged, and I was fed up with it. I expected the eggs to stay dry in these containers. Well, I must have misunderstood because, despite the fact that the description says "guaranteed water tight," it appears that this only applies to the lid, as the container itself has six small manufactured holes. So, while the container's durability will be appreciated in the ice chest, the eggs will remain damp. I'm sure there's a reason for the holes, but it seems strange to put holes in a container and then call it leak-proof! I'll probably try to balance the container on top of the ice by turning it upside down.

For really big eggs, this is the way to go
5/5

I have chickens and needed a secure place to store my eggs. This is fantastic - Stackable and very sturdy. I've been using them for quite some time. They close with a satisfying snap. Even the enormous eggs that I couldn't fit into grocery store cartons fit in them. Condensation has been mentioned as a problem. That had never happened to me before, and I assumed it was because it was extremely hot and humid at the time. There is no harm done, and if the moisture bothers you, I believe a half-sheet of paper towel placed on top of the eggs will absorb it. We consume our eggs far too quickly to be concerned.

Costco Organic 24 pack is a perfect match
5/5

Costco's organic eggs come in a flimsy case that holds 24 eggs. This three-pack is durable and allows you to divide the two dozens into two separate dozens for easier storage. Things we like about the products are:br>1) makes stacking easier and I am confident that the case's sturdiness will not collapsebr>2) the locking mechanism is secure and solidbr>3) the see-through case makes it easy to see how many eggs are leftbr>4) effectively protects the eggs and does not leak like a cardboard carton There are a few small pin-sized holes that I don't believe will leak out.

Backyard Chicken Eggs That Have Been Locked Down I keep a small flock of backyard hens in the city
4/5

Friends will often give me empty cardboard or styrofoam egg cartons, which is great if they're going to re-fill them. I've been looking for a way to keep the eggs we keep at home safe for a long time. When we go camping, I have a plastic set that works well in a cooler but isn't quite refrigerator-safe. friendly. I placed an order for three bottles of wine. These plastic containers come in a pack of six. They hold the eggs my daughters lay, ranging in size from small to large, and are free of any build-up. They stack nicely in the fridge and are about the same size as disposable egg cartons when it comes to humidity. My only criticism is that these containers are a tad too secure. I believe that having four clips (2 on long edges and two on short edges) is overkill; I believe that having clips on either the short or long edges, but not both, would suffice. The eggs aren't escaping, and just two clips would be enough to keep them in place.

Lock is one of my favorite characters
5/5

Lock has persuaded me to buy it. For years, I've been using Lock products, and this is my second set of three Lock products. Eggs are kept in the lock. Because my first set only held 10 eggs, I gave it to a family member after I used the 3-pack. set to last for four years Lock, I agree. If properly cared for, a lock can last a very long time. The current set was purchased because it can hold a full dozen large eggs. br>br>When I go to Sam's Club to buy eggs, this set will hold the entire 3 dozen. Extremely long lasting. Cleaning is a breeze. Dishwasher on the top shelf The eggs are safe because of this. This is ideal for people who want to bring a dozen eggs with them when they go camping. It won't make the eggs indestructible, but it will keep them safer in transit than foam or cardboard.

It has a more secure feel to it than a paper egg carton
5/5

Our hens began laying eggs, so we purchased a set of Lock and Lock egg cartons. So far, they've only succeeded in producing one egg that is too tall. We were able to put our set in the dishwasher without any issues. We've discovered that storing cartons until they're needed results in some of them becoming damaged and dusty. This was, in my opinion, an excellent decision. There will be no more stacks of cartons donated by friends taking up space in the corner. The hens are taking a break because it's winter. I brought store-bought eggs home and still used them in this recipe. When handling disposable cartons in the kitchen, they can feel unbalanced and flimsy. My father suffers from a tremor, and these are sturdy enough for him to hold. I won't have to worry about punching a carton with my finger or getting one wet because the boys left the counter wet with these. Also, because we have a small kitchen with limited counter space, these take up less counter space than opening an egg carton from the store. br>I'm passing this on to my poultry-loving friends.
