It appears to be the case. Amazon is one of the most popular online retailers. However; In some cases, depending on which piece you require, it is less expensive to simply purchase a new machine. The components are not cheap.

It's made of "cast aluminum," which is the best description I can come up with. This machine is fantastic; it's in a high-traffic retail shoe store and it's perfect (no plastic!).
The coin must be less than the size of a quarter in the United States.

It's only a couple of sentences long!! The measurements, on the other hand, are precise. I decided to purchase a second stand in order to increase the height of my own. It served its purpose. My son is not a toddler, but he is eleven years old. This is a good size for a toddler's play area, but not for a pre-schooler's play area. Ours is about 50" high because of the extra piece for the stand. br>br>It comes 37" high with the extra piece for the stand. br>br>Excellent quality, beautiful craftsmanship, sturdy, and simple to put together. br>br>In ours, we put about 4-pounds of skittles. Each turn yields five skittles. We used 90 oz of skittles, which nearly filled the container. br>br>However, I did go through and remove all of the purple ones, replacing them with blue from another pack. As a result, it's likely that there's less than 90 oz in there. I just want everything to blend in with my existing decor. / / / / / / / / /.
This machine is very cute and appears to be a "real" one that you might see in a public place. I put it together in about ten minutes. My main motivation for getting it was to use it to hand out rewards ("bribes") to my 2-year-old son when he was misbehaving. year- The old peed in the toilet. I put Skittles in it, and it gives out about 4-ounces of candy. Each time, I gave 6 Skittles, which I thought was fair. br>However, it only took my 6-year-old to figure out how to do it. year- It took my 10-year-old about ten minutes to figure out how to get the candy for "free. " " I had intended to use the coin-tossing technique. operation to keep candy out of the house She can get a few without a coin by jiggling the knob and shaking the entire machine like a crazy person. This appears to work as long as she is willing to try it. br>So, to cut a long story short, it's of good quality and looks great, but it's not anti-theft. proof.
The glass dome broke while I was inserting gumballs from the top, which is the only way to do so. I was extremely disappointed. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> This product would be fine if the coin mechanism didn't have plastic parts on the inside, and if the dome wasn't made of cheap thin glass; the dome should have been made of clear polycarbonate plastic, especially if you have young children who can easily knock it over, and the coin mechanism is easily broken, as mentioned, because the inner moving parts are made of cheap plastic; all it takes is a frustrated child or adult turning the knob too hard, and the coin mechanism will break. br>br>If you decide to buy it anyway, make a note to gently tilt the dome and carefully load the gumballs in it to avoid breaking the glass dome (as shown in the photo, two pieces of gumballs broke the glass dome while loading from the top), and don't turn the coin mechanism too hard or both will break.
Even though I'm not particularly handy, I was able to put this together in under three minutes using a power tool. It's stable on both my tile floor and carpet, and it's dispensed skittles without issue so far. (Though a couple might rattle out if my kids bang on the dispenser violently, which I've discouraged. ) ) I didn't even try to put the coin-operated machine together. limiter, so it can be easily turned with nickels, dimes, quarters, or pennies (the whole point, for me, was to limit the kids' access to "coins" in general). br>At some point, my older child will realize that her candy consumption has decreased as a result of my ability to keep both kids from raiding the pantry for loose candy; My son is happy with his birthday present for the time being.
For use at home, a high-quality gumball machine. Our family really enjoys this gumball machine! My kids put aside their coins for a special treat (could I be recouping some of their allowance?). It's also a fun attraction for visitors of all ages - It's bright, surprising, and it's a quick fix when you're in a hurry. I like the glass globe, the metal construction of the other parts, and how simple it is to refill. Assembling it was a breeze. One leg was a little difficult to put together because the fittings appeared to be slightly "off," but we managed to get it done. On a level surface, it rocks slightly, but nothing that a small furniture pad can't fix. The factory setting allows for a large number of gumballs to be dropped with a single coin, but you can change this when assembling or refilling. The only thing I would change is the following: I wish there was a way to make it only accept quarters. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and believe the price was reasonable.
The three or four stars aren't read by anyone. which is due to the product. My first purchase arrived with a broken dome, so I wanted the potential buyer to be aware of any quality issues. Despite the fact that there is a long list of choices; You only have one option, much like contacting the manufacturer. Return it to Amazon as soon as possible. The purpose of contacting the manufacturer is to send them an email so that they can return one to Amazon. Tow support legs labeled 3 and two labeled 4 were among the parts and pieces delivered with the second GBmachine. Parts one and two will not be available. The base where these supports connect had a flaw in it, with one side being too wide to connect a support leg to. It took a little persuasion. The bolt hole for connecting the pieces was too small, so it needed to be enlarged with a little drilling. I probably should have gone back for better-fitting parts, but I was already on my way down that path. The alternative is to look for a different brand, but the machine is beautiful, works well, and the parts are cast iron (durable). Yes, I'd buy one for a friend, but I'd want to be aware that putting it together can be a pain.
The machine's inner gears are made of low-cost materials, despite its cute appearance. plastic. Even out of the box, the coin mechanism didn't work properly. The globe is impressive in size and appearance. My globe, unfortunately, arrived with hairline fractures near the globe's neck. I had zero faith in it. But it didn't matter; every three or four turns, the coin mechanism jammed. br>I was so disappointed because I had intended to use it as a potty training reward system. br>Don't throw your money away. It appears to be attractive, but it will not last long. I'm in the market for a new machine in general right now. I received a prompt refund from Amazon. However, the fact that everything is garbage makes me sad.
