Four and a quarter inches is the diameter at the bottom. A section of the body measuring about nine inches wide measures about nine inches long.
There are currently four of these in stock at Elizabeth's Embellishments. Currently, the listing seems to be active, so they are available for purchase.
Including eggs, I use it decoratively and have at least two dozen in it, but it probably contains a bit
My colleague asked that question in the break room, so I went and asked her. We were surprised to find that 24 Large Eggs could be safely stored in it. Depending on how much you want to stuff up the neck of the basket, you could probably store six or eight more eggs, but the main body of the basket holds 24 large eggs. There is stock on hand, so we can ship it right away. Thanks a lot. This holiday season- So it is.

My colorful wooden painted eggs put it to good use, and it looks fantastic! If I had to collect eggs with it, I would not use it- Though it isn't sturdy enough to keep fresh eggs in, I would definitely use it to display them.
It's worth noting, however, that if you have chickens and collect your own yard eggs, you're probably aware that fresh eggs can often be left out at room temperature for about a month before they need to be stored in a refrigerator. It's best to eat our eggs within less than two weeks (because they tend to taste better), but if you consume them within one month of being laid you should be able to. (This is not true for store-bought eggs that have already been chilled).
This is a very good result. This is what she likes! Even though our chicks aren't ready to lay eggs yet, I think it will work well. I changed the handle from side to side to create a front to back weight distribution, so that it is now less front heavy and has a flat base.
My favorite thing about this brown chicken basket is its antique appearance. This egg holder looks so attractive on the kitchen countertop and holds a lot of large eggs. In spite of the weight of an egg basket, the handle, like the sides, does not bend with the weight behind it. The eggs are so easy to collect or you can take them to the hen house after you have collected them. If it is picked up from the handle, it tends to tip forward a little, but not enough to spill eggs. The funny thing is, I had never noticed it did not have wings until I read the other reviews. They are correct, it does not have wings, but it is still a beautiful.
In my home, I have a gravity egg holder that holds roughly 2 dozen eggs (they roll to the bottom as they are consumed). I'm usually getting a 7- I think it's what I'm doing wrong A diet of 9 eggs a day is recommended. So now I have this on my counter and fill it up with the orange, brown, pink, and white eggs I have. When it comes to packing up eggs for friends and neighbors, it looks great, there's no worry about them breaking, and it's easy to get them.
I am so happy to give this basket to my parents who have recently become chicken parents! The eggs needed to be carried every day, so what could be better than a chicken basket?.
The chicken basket I saw is the cutest one I have ever The metal construction is excellent. As far as I am concerned, I use mine just for decoration. It contains some wooden eggs that I keep inside. You can collect about a dozen large eggs with it if you actually use it for collecting.
It wasn't my first choice in purchasing a rooster-shaped wire basket, but I'm satisfied with the construction, and I like the way chicken wire was used to make the basket cute. Please note that this basket is not recommended for storing fruits. (I tried to use it with tangerines and lemons. ) It is difficult to place and reach for fruit because of the opening and handle. In addition to holding paper hand towels and dinner towels, I also use this basket for other things. There are two sizes of There was a large amount of black on the crown and tail of the rooster which dissatisfied me. Red will be the crown, and a bright green will be the tail.
