Questions & Answers
They're used as patio lights in our house. Our lights have a lot more bulbs and sockets than Christmas lights, so they're a lot heavier. I don't see why these hooks couldn't be used to hang Christmas lights.
For towel hooks, you'd have to glue them up. There's a larger hook than this one that's designed for hanging wreaths on siding- However, you'd have to glue them to the siding fence to keep them in place.
On the back of the sign, you'd need a hook of some sort. I've hung four pictures (two with a wire running from side to side to hang from and two with just a center hook) and a clock that my son made in high school (that also has a center hanger). They all stick out a little on top, but they all look great hung this way. These hooks are fantastic. I use them in our Arizona room, where you can't use any kind of adhesive to hold things in place because the vinyl siding and the heat (despite being air conditioned) make hanging anything for any length of time impossible.
Seamless siding is a new concept to me. Because you inserted the hook into a seam, I would say no. Are you certain that yours is without a hitch? That means it'll be delivered in massive sheets!

I was skeptical and had every intention of returning this item. We have vinyl siding that is unique to us. According to our contractor, the hooks have a unique locking mechanism that may or may not work with these hooks. I was very pleased when I brought them in! Watch the video to see how these hangers attach to the vinyl siding with ease and can support a significant amount of weight. I've changed my mind!.
For my new home build, I bought the first set of hangers on a lightning deal at a VERY reasonable price to hang several yard decor pieces. I was pleased with how simple it was to install, and my heaviest piece has yet to rip down the new siding after ten days. I bought a second set from the same seller because the first set was so good. It was also delivered quickly.
I have vinyl siding and use metal butterflies as house ornaments, and I've tried 3m's extra strong Velcro. They don't like sticking to siding that has a texture to it. These slide so easily between siding seams and are held in place by physics. No more of those clear plastic clips with the releasing no mar tape to solve all of my problems and string up my Christmas lights. The only drawback, which isn't due to the product itself, is that these can only be slid in. between siding rows or seams Now that I have double lap siding, I can only use these every other row, so it's only a problem if the hook you want to use isn't near a seam. If that helps, I can say that the hook's very end is 1/4" wide and gets wider as it curves to the hook's body.
I was a little concerned when I first received these that they wouldn't fit with my siding. After all, how difficult could installation be when the design lends itself to a relatively simple placement? We're still not sure why we had such a difficult time. Perhaps the siding remained stuck until we broke through a barrier. br>br>Once we'd nailed the first tab's placement, the rest of them slid right in. They're sturdy, and they've kept the items secure even during some particularly bad storms that passed through the area.
Of course, I didn't want to pound nails, so these hooks were ideal. My only criticism is that I wish they came in a variety of colors, such as gray, black, or white, because black hooks would complement my sign much better. However, this is a fantastic product that is simple to use.
Everything on our front porch is held up by them, from a large tin star to a wooden "hello" sign and a large planter weighing about ten pounds. br>br>I'll admit, I was a little worried about the planter, but once I got it up there, it seemed sturdy, and I haven't had any issues. It's been nearly a month since it's been dangling. br>br>These tiny clips come highly recommended. They are fantastic!.
On our deck, we wanted to hang some lights. M3 Command hooks were our first purchase. Within a month, they had all fallen off our vinyl sidinh, breaking lightbulbs as the hook broke. br>The vinyl siding hooks slid right into the joints and have kept our lights up for well over a month, even through storms and heat waves. Because they were so simple to install, we decided to extend the light's range far beyond what we had planned.
So I can't say how simple they are, but they appear to be simple enough. I've been looking for something like this for a long time because I have steel pieces and need something that won't harm my house. Well, this is precisely what I've been searching for. I adore all of the pieces I've received but had no idea how to display them until I came across these. They'll be perfect if the siding doesn't show any signs of wear and tear. Thank you so much for creating these. I really like them.
