If you've ever used a wire hanger from the dry cleaners, you'll notice that it's thicker and stronger than that hanger wire.
No, I don't believe so. They are hung from hooks.

I'm a sucker for S hooks. I was looking for small black hooks to hold up cast iron pots at Home Depot, but they didn't have any, so these worked perfectly!.
I recently relocated to a new city and had to replace a lot of things, including a couple of recording studio rooms in my previous residence. To cut a long story short, I needed to build a vocal booth in order to reduce the amount of noise picked up by my sensitive microphone. You might be wondering what this has to do with the thick wire hangers. Making this project work required hanging a bunch of surprisingly heavy (the kind you pick up and go "oof") sound-proofing panels after fashioning the skeleton of a booth out of 1" PVC pipe. panels of dampening from the top pipes br>br>Because the panels are meant to be hung like paintings, a standard short wire hanger would cause them to bump up against the frame's top. I estimated the distance and purchased these hangers in the hopes that they would be long and strong enough to clear the frame's top. They worked flawlessly, to cut a long story short. I was able to secure the upper acoustic panels with just a few zip ties to secure the left/right positioning. br>br>If these S hooks were less sturdy or not as long as they appear on the store page, this project would not have worked, and if they can hold those heavy acoustic panels, they can hold just about anything.
I used these to extend (and thus lower) the bird-feeder hooks on my poles because I couldn't reach them to hook my feeder-hooks. The wires have been crossed. br>br>To get the right height, I used two of them together, a la Monkeys in a Barrel. These are tough little things. br>br> With my bare hands, I can't bend them any tighter or wider. It's not at all frail. They also didn't budge while holding 10 pound seed feeders. Very strict. br>Right now, there's a strong wind, so they're under extra stress, but they're fine. br>br>I'd buy them again for this- or any other type of "hanging" app. They could easily support a large pot or a hanging plant, for example.
These are what I use to hang bird feeders, chimes, bells, and other interesting items from my favorite tree. These hooks have assisted me in creating a fairytale for the squirrels, birds, and myself to enjoy.
I was looking for black heavy duty "S" hooks, and these are exactly what I needed! I needed S hooks to keep my rain chains in place while I attached them to the gutters. These S hooks have one end that is slightly smaller than the other, which is ideal because it fits in the gutter. The smaller end ensured that the rain chains wouldn't blow away if they came loose from the end. Although I only required two S hooks, I was delighted to find a package of 30 for such a low price. I've used them for a variety of things, including hanging clothes in my closet! Most importantly, they can easily support my 12 foot rain chains during a heavy downpour, which is why I ordered them in the first place! I think you'll like these hooks as much as I do!.
I bought these S hooks to hang lights in my backyard, but they were much smaller than I expected when they arrived. I bought them based on the photo and a single S hook I already had in the backyard, but it turned out I needed a much larger one. Because they are thin and small, I wouldn't call them heavy duty. I wouldn't hang a large plant on them because I'm afraid they'll lose their shape and the heavy planter will fall to the floor. If you want to use S hooks to hang heavy plants, look elsewhere. If you're looking for something small, these will suffice.
I placed an order for these S- Utensil hooks on the underside of a new storage shelf. br>I needed more hooks than the ones that came with the shelf, so I bought these. br>They're almost identical to the ones that came with the shelving unit, and they're a good deal for the number of hooks you get. I would buy them again, and I would buy them from this seller.
I've used them to lift things from the floor in the shed. We have many heavy garden electric tools hanging from the roof, rather than obstructing the view leaned against the wall, so they can hold the stated weight. These are the S Hooks we'll buy if we ever need more.
