Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with 17067 clear hooks (0. 5 lb)? If not, what type of refill strips should I get?

Thank you for getting in touch. These adhesives are compatible with the 17067 clear hooks and can be used as refills.

Is it true that these will adhere to stainless steel? I'd like to attach my sponge caddy to the kitchen sink's side. ?

I haven't tried it on stainless steel yet, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work. They seem to cling to any smooth surface they come across. The amount of water they'd be exposed to in the sink is the only thing that I could see as a problem.

I have an outdoor deck light that I'd like to mount on trex without the use of screws. Would it be possible to hand them these strips? They're incredibly light, weighing in at under a pound. ?

I believe it is inexpensive enough to try without risking anything. We have a Solor light above our slider door that does a fantastic job.

What command hook size will these work with?

Small. I bought these refills so that I could reuse the Command 17017CLR- Christmas lights were hung on our vinyl fence with AW Light Clips.

Although the hooks are clear, the adhesive is a bright white color
3/5

These were purchased to hang lights from a window. NOT! If the adhesive is white, what's the point of having clear hooks? Unless you're hanging something on a white wall, in which case clear hooks aren't necessary. Even on a clean, smooth, non-porous surface, if you don't hold in place for 30 seconds, the adhesive won't hold. surface that is porous Other clear hooks and clear tape are available from Command. You'll have to invest, I suppose. to make certain.

I don't recommend the clear products, but I do like the command ones
3/5

I'm a big fan of command products. Many opportunities have presented themselves to me. There are a lot of them. If you have unrealistic expectations for these, you will be disappointed. Having said that, I bought these to use on glass. I used these on painted wood, and they always failed. With the exception of one, which I've used a lot, they've held up well. On glass, however, even this size step up failed every time, despite the fact that these are very thin in comparison to other versions of the same size; perhaps it's just the clear versions that aren't up to the task. Maybe there were a few batches that were tainted? Who knows, but I can't recommend any clear strip size based on my personal experience.

It was once wonderful
3/5

What went wrong, 3M? In our enclosed patio, we have outdoor command strips that have remained up for years. Because our camper interior would be subjected to seasonal temperature changes, we purchased the same product. The absence of stickiness of the strips was the first thing we noticed. Most of the strips have so far failed to support objects weighing a few ounces. These command strips are no longer as useful as they once were. Another 3M product whose quality has deteriorated significantly. I was dissatisfied with a brand that I had hoped to trust and rely on.

Attaching to outdoor enamel paint was a complete failure
3/5

I've used Command Strips for a wide range of indoor and outdoor projects. They are my favorite. br>br>I've attached small Blink security cameras to stained wood and a metal light fixture with the outdoor ones. They stayed outside (but in a sheltered area) for two years. It was simple to get rid of it. br>br>I tried to replicate this with enamel paint in a new location. There was no adhesion even after pressing and allowing to "cure. " In a nutshell, these were ineffective for my needs.

Work from virtually any location
5/5

Removable and repositionable without causing damage. This is extremely beneficial. Command hooks and hangers are one of my favorite things in the world. They have a variety of sizes for various weights. They're incredibly useful and do exactly what they say they'll do. I have them in every size and shape that is available. I use them to hang Christmas lights and stars from the ceiling. I bring them with me on trips so that I can hang my Cpap machine hose on the bedframe or the wall above my head. Alternatively, I can't hang a bathrobe where I want it because there isn't a hook available. I use them as extra hanging space in my closets for purses, umbrellas, hats, and other items; some are more or less permanent, but they can still be removed if necessary. My family members have been introduced to them, and they have found uses for them in the garage and in their vehicles. I used to keep a lot of strips on hand because they're easy to remove and reposition, but each new position necessitated a new strip. However, I've discovered that the strips DRY OUT over time; some of the older ones were completely devoid of sticky residue. They had been around for a year! As a result, I now store them in sealed plastic bags with as little air as possible. Hopefully, this will aid in their preservation. You will not be able to live without them once you have tried them.

Industry- As you may be aware, 3M Command strips have become the go-to product line for wall-mounting in the United States
5/5

products to mount These refills serve their purpose for this product and help save money when you only need to replace the strip. br>br> Having a variety of extra strips on hand is always beneficial! When reusing Command hooks/fixtures, keep the following in mind: To ensure that the replacement strip attaches correctly, make sure to remove the old strip and any adhesive residue from the back of the hook and wipe it down with rubbing alcohol. br>br>Please take a moment to let us know if this was helpful by clicking the button below.

Hanging Christmas lights with these hooks is a breeze
5/5

For the past few years, I've hung my Christmas lights with these and the 3M plastic clips that came with them. They're simple to put on and take off, and the plastic clip part can be used again and again until - I guess - The plastic breaks down and degrades. I've never had a loose one or one that didn't stay put. Before putting it up, I simply wipe it down with a damp rag and allow it to dry. I'm going to make sure I order these well ahead of time for Christmas this year because they've become nearly impossible to come by this year. I'm not sure if it's something to do with the COVID supply chain or what, but I had to re-register. At Target, you can get the whole package of plastic clips and removable strips for about $16. Make preparations ahead of time.
