I bought one of these a year ago to use in my bathroom to hold towels. I've never put anything heavier on it, but it appears to be quite durable. If anything could loosen the adhesive in a bathroom, it would be the high humidity from the shower, but it hasn't budged at all. I'd hang a jacket or coat on it with no hesitation. The glue appears to be quite strong. I hope this has been of assistance.
Hello! Thank you very much for your inquiry. The plastic back plates are not available separately from the hooks, unfortunately.
That's something I've experienced as well. I've never seen them sold in parts, so I just keep buying them whole.
Yes! If my memory serves me correctly, the package contained two sticky strips.

I like command strip hooks, but I had a couple that had been up there for so long that the plastic was starting to crack. Because these have a more curved design, I don't think they'll break as easily as the others. These hooks claim to hold up to 5 pounds, which is comparable to the others I've used. I was able to obtain a total of four. One is for hanging my bathrobe on the back of the door, while the others are for drying wet towels. These are fantastic! br>br> They are perfect because they match the brushed nickel finish on the door hardware in our rooms. Before you put them up, you can tell they're plastic, but once they're up, no one will know they're not more expensive metal hooks. br>br>The hooks are perfect for hanging up my bathrobe, towels, or even a pair of jeans. When I'm wet, my bathrobe is made of thick cotton and can be quite heavy. None of these have ever come loose in my experience. I'll be purchasing additional hooks to replace the ones I already have. It's a great find and price!br>br>It's about 4" long from top to bottom. It would be ideal for the back of a door or a variety of other locations. If you've never used command strip hooks before, they hold incredibly well and can be easily removed by pulling down on the adhesive strip that hangs down. There are too many parts when installing them. The hanger comes with an adhesive strip that you stick to the wall, and after 30 seconds of holding it in place, the actual hook part slides on securely. To remove it, simply slide it up to remove it, then slowly pull the adhesive tab straight down until it is completely removed, leaving no residue. br>br>The hook comes with an extra adhesive strip in case you want to paint it and need to reattach it, or if you want to move the strip. br>br>Thank you for taking the time to read my review, Becky Brooks. br>br>.
They're particularly useful if, like me, you live in an apartment and don't want to risk damaging a wall by drilling holes. They even go with my plastic curtain rod that is (faux) nickel plated. I'd seen the commercials on TV that showed how simple it is to remove them from the wall- and they do exactly what they say they do. I needed to reposition one, and the removal went extremely smoothly. In a heartbeat, I would buy them again. Oh, and here's a thought: To ensure that this hook will fit your curtain rod, measure its circumference. (I was unable to complete this task. ) As I approached the installed hooks with my rod, I felt a rush of adrenaline. I was hoping it would fit. It did, thankfully!.
These hooks do a decent job of holding up over time. For the past year, I've had two mounted on the side of my island cabinet. br>br>I have two hooks in my kitchen, one on each side of my island, near the dishwasher and sink. I use them to store hand towels and have yet to encounter any problems. They are constantly bumped, and wet towels are constantly placed on them. Despite the abuse and the moisture, neither has begun to show any signs of deterioration. The grip is still as strong as it was when I first put them up. br>br>As far as appearances go, they're not bad, especially for a low-cost plastic hanger. When viewed up close, they do not appear to be stainless steel appliances, but from a distance of several feet, they appear to be a good match. These might look a lot better than plain white Command Hooks, depending on your decor. br>br>These have worked well for me, and I would recommend them to anyone. They're a convenient way to create a hanging surface without having to use screws or nails.
My kids' backpacks will be hung on these heavy-duty hooks that I purchased. After six months, the backpacks are still holding up well and the hooks are still firmly in place. This is an excellent product.
I bought a 3M item similar to this a few years ago. They were brushed nickel hooks that are still in the pack; I haven't used them yet, but the package is heavy and weighty, and you can feel the metal throughout the pack. I received these, and the package was very light, and they had a plastic feel to them. I haven't used them yet because I'm waiting for a curtain rod to arrive before I can use them. I suppose it's the same with everything these days; there's no quality, only low-cost Chinese goods. br>I'm giving it three stars because I trust 3M products. After a period of performance review, I may upgrade to 5.
These Command clips were ideal for the task at hand. They're affixed to a tile wall right outside my shower door. They adhere firmly to the towels and can easily support their weight. I didn't want to drill holes in the tile to hang a few hooks, so I tried these. I'm glad I did it.
I needed a hook to hang my toddler's towel/robe without drilling a hole in the tile, so I found this Command hook, which matches the brushed nickel of my other bathroom hardware and is incredibly strong. My daughter has repeatedly tugged on her towel, but the hook has held firm. The adhesive strip's grip does not appear to be affected by the humidity in the bathroom. This find has made me very happy.
