Despite their size, these trays are extremely sturdy and durable. In each tray there are up to 10 pounds of weight capacity. There's enough space inside of one of them that I can fit a power strip inside of it, but still have some extra room. I have access to plugs and extension cords through the grates. Despite the fact that they each came with a lot of screws, I was able to securely attach them either at the top or even from the side if I wanted. There was enough space in one of the trays to attach shelves and a few S hooks so I could hang headphones on the other desk these trays are attached to. In my experience, going through the process of drilling small pilot holes at the desk made it much easier to screw them in.
My desk is a standing-up desk shaped like an L, so I couldn't tip it over to install it For me to properly screw the unit into place, I was forced to sit under the desk. I really like it because it is perfect for my needs, and those wires and baskets will not be visible from the front.
My standing desk came with this. It enabled me to tame the wires under it. It took me a few minutes to install it using the self-install tool Screws need to be drilled. Since the desk I am using is 1" thick, the provided screws were perfect. For some of the long wires, I used zip ties to attach them to the wire frame which enabled a cleaner installation. One reason why I didn't go with a full metal shelf is that it would be too heavy. Also, I used the outer part of the shelf to support cables leading to my USB chargers at the top of the shelf.
This product is of great quality and does the job well. You will need to know how much clearance you will need for the plugs, wires, et cetera if you mount it under the table.
Ideally, it should be mounted behind the front middle drawer of the desk, which makes it the perfect height for under desk mounting. As it comes with self drilling screws, you don't need a drill to make a hole in your desk for the screws, so there's no need to worry if you don't have one.
I'm very satisfied with my cable shelf, it was quick and easy to assemble, attaching to my desk with adhesive strips instead of screws since my desk is iron and it stays put. Greetings! Thank you very much!.
