Questions & Answers
No - This shelf unit is extremely solid and stable - The shelves, on the other hand, cannot be removed.
It's a complete package.
I'm not sure of the exact weight, but I've had a lot on each shelf at once, including books, and it's held up well. Extremely durable.
Because it's tacked sheet metal and mine is on the desk, the distance from the desk to the top of the back is actually 13 1/4", and the distance from the bottom back edge to the top of the back at the corner is 13 1/8". I can tell you from experience as a retired cabinet maker that it will not fit in a 12 3/4" opening.

This organizer is designed to fit perfectly inside an Ikea Kallax cubby hole. If you pry off the two small rubber feet below the back edge, you'll be fine. It's just a smidgeon too tall if you leave them on. With a fingernail, I easily pried the two back feet off and slid them under the front rim so it would still have enough grip to keep from sliding around. br>br>I was worried it would arrive bent based on other reviews, but it didn't. It comes in a VERY heavy-duty box. Even though it's in a heavy-duty cardboard box with foam corner supports, it's still vulnerable to damage during shipping.
They work well with legal and letter-sized papers. br>One is leaning against the wall, while the other stands alone at my desk. br>I don't believe the shelves will bend as a result of normal use. It has a solid appearance and feel to it. I have no intention of displaying these. These are quite substantial. Finding a stud on the wall to hang it from is something I would recommend. Both have five shelves, with the bottom four being about two inches wide. You can stack that much paper per tray by spacing them 75" apart. br>These are far superior to the flimsy plastic and metal/mesh paper trays, in my opinion. They're well worth the money that Amazon is asking for them.
Bottom Line: If you're looking for a functional and sturdy organizing shelf, this is it. It's just a shelf, so buy it used or refurbished and wipe it down before using it. The main goal of this is to organize documents. br>br> What makes you think they couldn't be electronic documents (storage devices)? It's well-made and durable. br>br> The quality is up to par with what I've come to expect from AmazonBasics. If you want to hang it on the wall, it has mounting slots on the back. The item is quite heavy (which is a good thing).
These are the ideal size and are extremely durable. The only thing that concerns me is that, if I wanted to hang them, they only have two holes (one on each side) on top; I believe that two additional holes on the bottom would be more secure. Also, and I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that I purchased them used (from Amazon Warehouse), but they did not come with hardware. Aside from that, it's AWESOME!.
While sitting on my art desk, this item accomplishes the task at hand. There were no damages when it arrived. It's where I keep my papers and dry my gelli arts prints! It really works. It's also possible to mount it on a wall. br>br> br>br>I'm thinking about repainting it; I was hoping to find one at a thrift store but figured I'd end up spending more money on useless thrift store items looking for one than I would if I just bought it new!.
It fits perfectly on the shelf in my computer cart, and the base is stable; even when fully loaded, the unit has shown no signs of tipping over. Most units of this size have only four shelves, but this one has five, increasing its storage capacity for papers and books. It has holes and hardware for hanging on the wall, but the screws seemed too small for the possible weight they'd have to support, if my memory serves me correctly. If I were to hang it, I would use longer screws or those designed for hanging heavy items on drywall.
This is very sturdy, and it's exactly what I needed to keep our incoming mail organized. We used to have piles of bills, junk mail, and other papers on the kitchen table, and I was getting tired of it. This item was purchased and received quickly. It is made of sturdy metal. It has a lot of slots for me to organize incoming mail, what needs to be filed, and so on. It's on a small table right now, but it can be mounted to the wall if necessary.
I adore swim shoes and have a pair that goes with almost every outfit I own. This is displayed on my dresser, with three pairs of shoes on each shelf. I put them in order from the bottom to the top. It's a lot easier to find the pair I'm looking for without having to rummage through my entire closet.
