Is it going to get darker with time?

I haven't had mine for long enough to see if it changes colors, but I'm hoping it doesn't.

Are the sections able to be pulled out as if they were drawers?

No, but each tier can be removed in its entirety.

How tall are the rooms?

The tiers are about 3 inches tall each.

What is the purpose of the small plastic tabs? There are four of them in total. ?

The tray's feet are formed by four plastic clips. They attach to the bottom tray's four bottom corners with snaps.

I've been looking for a good file organizer/tray of some sort to keep my work papers and journaling in. This is very simple to put together; it simply stacks on top of each other, and the top has a handy little shelf. It's a little taller than I expected, but it's just right for my needs. If I want, I can remove a shelf to make it even smaller. It's a well-built tray system with a nice rose gold finish.

a fantastic purchase Brought to give as a gift during the holidays. To complete my daughter's new desk/office/work-from-home set, I purchased all of the rose gold ensemble pieces from three different shippers. as a gift during the holidays This unit appears slightly darker than those in rose gold from the other amazon shippers/manufacturers, but it all goes together well. She had identified a couple of pieces, and I rounded out the purchase with the desk caddy, scissors, stapler, letter opener, post-it note holder, clips, tape dispenser, and so on. She thinks this piece is lovely, which makes me very happy. Make sure to check all of the accessories' dimensions. This is a large, impressive piece that she will display on her office's cadenza or shelving.

Loved it! Apart from my large dry erase board, I think this is my favorite homeschool item because it holds at least three workbooks on each shelf, there's space on the Barneveld cart so you don't have to worry about the book getting frayed or torn, and the best part is I can put something on top of it, you know that little top self is perfect to put a pencil holder or whatever I want

The beautiful rose gold color is the first thing that comes to mind. This is absolutely stunning. Although the unit is sturdy in general, be cautious if you need to move it because the trays are not clipped together and may fall apart if moved; however, this is not a problem once it is in place. The tray has a large capacity and can hold a lot of items. There is a flat piece on top of the unit that can be used to hold a stapler, tape dispenser, or other small items. Overall, it's a lovely unit that offers excellent value for the money.
