I have the ikea kallax cube and I am 99% sure it wouldn't fit here. It's a little too wide due to the rounded edges.
No, I'm afraid you won't be able to put it on top or anywhere else. Thank you very much for your inquiry.
It is possible to remove the top tray. It serves as a drawer divider for me.

I was eager to get all of my daughter's homeschooling papers organized, so I quickly put it together. Although the assembly was not difficult, there were a few areas that were unclear and took some time to figure out. br>br>The top tray is exactly as described in the reviews. It simply rests on top of everything else. And she's always on the move! As a result, I used my hot glue gun to make grip dots in each corner. It took some time to even them out so they weren't swaying. But it was a success! As you can see in the video, it grips it well enough to move the entire thing around while still allowing it to be easily lifted off. Because the holes are too small for the zip ties we have, I decided to use hot glue instead. br>However, it is a fantastic purchase in general!.
I'm thinking about putting the detachable tray in my desk drawer to keep my pens organized because it fits nicely in the skinny middle desk drawer. br>br>In 5 minutes or less, you can put this together. There are only four screws to install. With the tool provided, tighten them up in stages. Before fully tightening the screws, slide in all of the trays. This item is extremely durable. I like to put magazines in the bottom tray to make it heavier. Because I don't have a lot of space on my desk, I prefer metal to plastic. To match my black monitor, I went with black.
I bought it as a "student center" for kids to turn in work and a storage area for frequently used items, and I absolutely love it! It is extremely popular with the children. They know where everything goes and can easily access their materials, so I don't have to worry about them breaking anything!.
I wasn't sure how they'd work at first and was looking for something made of wood, but after putting them together and pinching the areas where the shelves slide in so they wouldn't come out when I pulled something out, I was completely satisfied. Everything in the slots can be seen by me. I was pleasantly surprised by the purchase and am grateful that I was able to get two for the price of one. I'd buy them again for my husband's desk because he's in desperate need of them.
This mesh desk organizer is one of my favorites. I've had at least four other solid-walled metal organizers, all of which were excellent. On this organizer, I really like the mesh. It's a lot easier to figure out what's on each tier now. Because light reflects off the mesh, it's easier to see what's inside. It's quite sturdy, and it was also quite simple to put together.
Item arrived in a severely damaged box (sent by USPS), but it was well-packaged and, thankfully, undamaged. Except for a flaw in the wire of one rack, which will not be visible when filled with papers and does not render the rack useless, I am very pleased with the item. The top basket is extremely useful, but it falls off easily, as others have noted, so I'll secure it to a rack in some way.
The assembly instructions could be improved upon. It doesn't say how to screw in the very top and bottom of the round tube at one end. Watching a video confirmed for me that everything is as it should be. Despite the fact that the item arrived in new plastic wraps, these two pieces have scratches (indicating that they were previously used).
With the help of a few screws, I was able to hang it next to our copier. I hadn't noticed that the tray sits loosely on top and can be moved, which I don't want, so I secured it with small zip ties so it wouldn't fall off accidentally. If I ever needed another one, I would buy it again.
