Yes, the black polyester bags that can be removed and washed can be washed.
I'm not sure how much it weighs, but it can hold two full loads of clothing for two adults and one child. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. However, do not carry the entire hamper when it is full because it is not very sturdy. However, you can take each bag out and carry it to the laundry room as follows:

It's simple to put together, and the bamboo looks nicer than my old laundry sorter, which was more utilitarian and institutional in appearance. looking. br>br>After a few months of use, one of the bags' stitching began to come out, leaving a 4 inch flap of fabric at the top. After another month, the entire side of the building caved in. I attempted to contact the manufacturer via email, but received no response. br>br>I took the bag to my tailor, who charged me ten dollars to properly repair it. I expect I'll have to deliver the last two bags to her within a year. So, it's a nice thing, but you'll have to spend some money or time at your sewing machine to get it ready to use. br>br>After this experience, I'd look for something more well-made and from a company that is more willing to stand behind their product.
Because the first one was missing parts, I had to order a second one. I ordered a replacement, put it together, and filled it; however, one of the bags was ripped at the seam. That bag was replaced with another and the seam was ripped. I tried another bag and the seam was ripped alone. Both are going to be returned.

Instead, I take my clothes out, inspect them for spots/stains, and then put them in the washer. When I first received the laundry bag, I was concerned that it would not hold enough laundry. When I fill them up, I get a full load, whereas in my previous hamper, I had to do two loads. I also appreciate the fact that there are three bags: one for towels, one for lights, and one for darks.

I've had a few of these over the years, but they weren't nearly as nice as this one, which is sturdy, simple to put together, and doesn't look like your typical POS laundry hamper. I had this hamper for about a year when it started to fall apart. It was simple to put together, as well as to remove the black laundry baskets.
