User manuals state that the machine can support 110 pounds. In other words, somewhere in that area. Just for longevity, I probably wouldn't push it past 95 or so.

The lifting and dragging of the laundry basket down the steps to the laundry room has been a pain for my 89 year old mother. bought her this rolling laundry hamper for the holidays so that she would be able to do her laundry without going to the laundry room every morning. Her immediate reaction was to try it. While her arms were full of laundry, her hands were unable to hold onto the railing and she had to hold on to the rail to make it down the steps. Although I think this is an amazing invention, I think it would take a long time to perfect Although I am sure she will eventually adapt to this new term, I am not sure how quickly. Having recently moved to a split level home with all sorts of stairs, we are not used to them. A bedroom and laundry can be found upstairs and in the basement, respectively. It has been about three weeks since I purchased this cart. I really love it. The stairs are easier to climb with this shoe. The situation has been good thus far. It is very easy to install. After receiving it, I went to the laundry room in my apartment complex the next day to use it. This was a gift for my mom and she loved it! Using it before I gave it to her allowed me to test it out. On flat ground, the stair climbing wheels prevent the basket from sliding off the curb, they are sturdy and keep the basket moving. If not in use, the basket part can be removed and used as a hamper, and the rolling part can be folded up and stored away.
