The ones we have in our camper van are bent and hooked into holes in the back door. I have never heard any rattling while driving down the road and they seem to be really sturdy. cannot comment on the strength of a 1/38" thick door, but I can tell you that the metal is flexible as well as strong. This would seem to be a good fit.
The low top shoe works perfectly with this. The organizer cannot hold shoes in size 13 because they are too big.
It doesn't seem like there is a reason not to. Over the door hooks attach to holes in the hanging shoe bag but the shoe bag itself has no hooks. If you fancy you can easily modify it with a wall hook or one of those stick on hooks from 3M

It had two smaller pockets. I needed two more large pockets. It was something else that I used. The fabric - although not a great feature - still works perfectly. I particularly like the pockets that seem durable and look like a better quality piece than the other items I purchased. As you can see, this item doesn't bend in the middle like the other ones do because the upper "hem" is lined with cardboard. The dimensions of this one tend to hold better than the one from the other one. Other brand items did have better hooks because one end was tailored to a particular door width and the other end was adapted to fit standard door widths. I have to say, the hook for this item is of very good quality, and it fits my door width a lot better than some of the other products on the market.
A couple of larger pockets are located at the bottom of the bag, which are better for larger items, such as my hair dryer (which I use Since it has larger pockets, this is my favorite of the several door organizers I have purchased.
My camper van has a back door mounted shoe rack that I purchased. For the trim to fit on the door, the pockets at the bottom were cut off. Having a shoe rack means I can find all my shoes easily, which is now my new favorite thing!.
On the back of my bedroom door, I hung it. I use it to keep my extra shoes that are not suited for my closet. The product looks nice and it keeps my shoes organized. keep miscellaneous things that need to have a place, so I need to find a place for them. I had a feeling it would be what I thought it would be. Suitable for the job.
The lock is supposed to be anchored at both the top and bottom of the door, but it does not work on both tall and short doors. Each time the door is opened or closed, the bottom of the door hangs loose and bangs against the door.
It is not easy to fit shoes into the slots. Your shoes will not fit into the slots if you wear any good size shoe.
This has been going on for about one month now. It's a pity we won't use the hooks at the bottom since they are so close to the floor. They have different sizes of pockets, which I like. So far, it seems as if the construction is going well.
While it has a large capacity, it doesn't hold a lot of stuff.
