Four of them are present. You can allow 5 inches between shelves, but you don't need to fill in every shelf, so you have double the space, not as many
Low shoes with smaller soles work best with it. women's size 8 shoes fit perfectly, but my toes will protrude out from all of my shoes. A lot of my husband's size 10 shoes sit on the top "shelf" of our closet because they are too tall to fit in the lower levels.
I am 5 inches tall. You can unscrew some of the locking bars on high-tops, but some of the bars are very tight
In fact, the cross bar on the back does make a difference it provides added stability and helps to reduce stress on the horizontal bars.

It is easy This is a very strong The shoe rack is finally assembled now that I've had some time! This bag isn't really meant to hold 50 pairs of shoes, especially if you have high tops or mids. By removing a few bars (take a look at the picture), I was able to fit my high tops and mids. The plastic ones I used to have are so much more durable than this. It took me about an episode of "Altered Carbon" to put it together. My girlfriend and I want to get a second shoe rack so we can organize ALL of our shoes. Maybe I'll buy it once the price goes back down to $25, or after I move into the new house.
Interestingly, I ordered it from Amazon as a used item and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived complete with all the components! It is almost exactly like one I had from Whitmore, but with a bit more bells and whistles. Unlike the amazon version, the amazon version has a crossbar in the back in the shape of an X. It would seem that the crossbar contributes little to the stability of the design and could in fact make it more difficult for large shoes like men's shoes to be placed. It is possible to remove the crossbar without any issues. Keeping the wheels locked while rolling on carpet is also not my favorite thing. As a result, the locking tabs dig into the piles of debris and impede the wheels so much that they could as well be unlocked. For it to be moved, I need to pick it up by the wheels that are locked. In the process of assembling, I recommend assembling the four tall side pieces first. The opening of one of my pieces was problematic, which I did not discover until I had assembled the whole bottom and top and had then assembled them. Once that was accomplished, I had to disassemble one entire side and use a crowbar to widen the opening until I could snap together both pieces. Reassemble the parts afterward. Not the easiest thing to do. Unless you want to wear heels with tall wedges, it's a good shoe rack. There are shoe bars on all the sides, but I can choose to leave some of them out to make room for more calves. In addition, it has plenty of room for two pairs of shoes or a family's worth.
I was very pleased with the product and it arrived on time. It is simple to assemble, though the instructions are very small. Using this rack, we were able to fit 37 pairs of shoes, boots, heels, and sandals. It was needed to fit high tops and tall boots, so I removed two bars. To let people know, the tongues of men's size 12 shoes go all the way up to the top bars.
I assemble it in a reasonable amount of time. Shoes in my size 11 are not too big. Fitting five pairs of heels in a row is my method. You have to manipulate some of the heels a bit in order to set them, From the front, you have a lovely view, but the back requires the heels to be hung It would be inappropriate to put wedges on this page. There is a little stickiness, but is that really that much of a problem moving a shoe rack around.
A simple assembly is needed. When you have a lot of shoes, you have to have one of these! The book is ten out of ten! So far, this is the strongest shoe rack I've purchased. I feel like I'm in a retail store when I take my shoes off the rack, lol I'm not sure if you can really put 50 pairs on the shoe rack, but it's definitely a good amount to have Due to the fact that I own some boots and high top sneakers, I removed a few horizontal poles from the platform. It took me less than 40 minutes to build the rack. Ensure that you have the proper pieces and that you have read the instructions carefully. After reading reviews which said the welding was faulty, I checked all the parts to make sure I had no issues with the product. Overall, I am satisfied so far. I would highly recommend this. It comes with a flat wrench for the casters that should be useful for assembly and ordering another for remaining pairs. You'll need a flat head screwdriver to assemble it and it comes with a flat head screwdriver to assemble it. You might get some grip tape to put on the bars so they stay in place when storing or moving.
It is possible to store kids shoes in this rack, but there is not nearly enough space to store anything else Size 7 is the size of my wife's clothing. – Even her tennis flats were too big for her – she was 5’5′′ tall – Our ultimate solution was to store baseball caps on it - a complete waste of money. Besides that, this rack has no useful purpose whatsoever.
I also liked how easy it was to assemble. With no problem, the rack was put together very quickly and easily. I have tested it on my shoes and it works The shoe size is 9. In the middle racks, there are a few spaces that are obstructed by the rigidity bars that cross over. These days I find that a lot of shoes have flat soles or do not have stepped heels so they usually do not hook over the rod on the back of the shoe rack. In my opinion, all shoe racks these days have too steep an angle, so some shoes just slide right off. The bars could be textured so they are not shiny and slippery, but until they get that fixed, what I had to do was purchase a roll of non slip tape (used in bathtubs to avoid slipping) and apply it to the front of the rack. That has solved the problem. It is a fairly thick gauge tape, and will stick wherever it is exposed to horizontal surface, but wrapping the edges around rolling rack cylinders is difficult. As long as it stays in place though, it works very well.
I have no idea how I developed this problem and I just found out right before the end of the process. There is probably a defect in the rack, so I will return it. Next, I have to remove all of these screws and put them back in their boxes. Fun is not going to happen. I find quality control to be inadequate! A frustrating situation.
