The wheels aren't spring loaded so if you're going offroad tossling around, it might not be the best, but for regular driving in paved or dirt, it should be fine.
In the same boat as you, I was concerned. The straw hat holder holds my husband's straw hat firmly but I have to practice removing it without it To avoid any accidental bumps and bruises, we are careful not to allow anyone to sit on that seat, particularly the grandchildren.
Our American-made vehicle hat holder is a great product that we would like to thank you for considering. At present, we don't have the item listed on Amazon. So far, we're sorry.
You should be able to use it with most Fedora systems. Thank you.

There will be scratches on the leather hat band. If it is just your work cowboy hat, it is no problem. you can't put your Sunday meeting hat in it without destroying the leather band as the metal is hard.
I love this product it is the best alternative to hat holders I have come across so far. The metal of the head rest does rub against the plastic tube, so I had to add some athletic wrap to keep it from happening. It is an excellent product, I am glad I purchased.
I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present. He mounted it behind the drivers seat of his 2003 Toyota Camry. His hat is a fedora - It should be a type of hat rather than a cowboy hat. was perfect for all of his hats, and he could simply grab a hat, close the door, and wear it. The hat no longer has to be found on the back seat of the car or buried in bags, etc. He used to place it on the dashboard, which made it difficult to see. (I hated that )
And I did not enjoy holding the hat in front of me. Install was a snap, it's sturdy, and we find it extremely helpful.
When you get it down, the hat hangs safely and it is easy to retrieve later. It takes a bit of practice to figure out the angle, but, once you get it you have it for life. My container does not rattle or make any sounds when empty, and I am extremely happy with it. There are three hats at my house hanging on the wall mount hat hangers made by the maker. I love it so much!.
I actually got two of them His work truck and personal truck were both set up with two batteries each. is easy to put on and supports the hat so that it maintains its shape as it rests on the headrest. This ensures that no one will get knocked off of the console, or unintentionally throw something on top of the hat on the seat. Despite the simple design, this is a very durable product. It had simple instructions on how to use. He seems to be very happy with this item (and with his hats).
You would be better off using a hat holder similar to this one than one you would usually stick to your window or attach to your vehicle's roof. You will have plenty of room for your hat, so it will not be flattened.
When traveling, it keeps the hat secure. The downside is that no one can sit in that seat as the placement is such that children's feet and legs will interfere.
While the product was promptly delivered, the black powder coat (black) was bubbled and did not look professional.
