As a result, I bought this tree watering device last year knowing we would be gone for up to a week at a time during the Christmas holiday. Once everything had been set up and I had checked that the sensor and fill tube were in the proper positions, I had no problems with either day 1 or day 2. Nevertheless, on Day 3, I heard the "Empty Tank" alarm, after which I noticed that the packages under the tree were wet. It was estimated that a gallon of water had been pumped into the tree stand, then spilled over It is not known if the fill tube and sensor have been damaged. In my experience, I ran the device through a test in the laundry sink after cleaning up the mess. After the "Full" sensor had failed, the tank's "Empty" sensor cut in and stopped the pump. The pump continued to run until the "Full" sensor had failed again, telling it to shut off. Therefore, if you intend to use this as a yearly purchase, I would say, "Go for it". Exactly what I was thinking of! This has been going on for years, where has it been? There will no longer be a need to give the neighbors a key and ask them to take care of your tree while you are visiting relatives. We no longer have to crawl under the trees on our bellies every day to make sure the water is It's no longer necessary to knock ornaments off every day as you try to fill the stand. The only thing left to do is to fill the reservoir (which sits way out from the base of the tree and looks like just another present) and let the sensor and pump take care of the rest. The system even alerts you when a low reservoir is approaching. With this device, you will never need to worry about maintaining a fresh Christmas tree again.

Watering systems rarely impress me, however, and this system is quite impressive. We set up the system on our Christmas tree this year, and it has been doing a great job keeping the water level topped off. Getting the water sensor to the exact height that you want it to be was the hardest part of the whole system, and even that took only a couple of Water sensor was difficult to tie off to tree, so I simply hooked it up to stand. The water pumping mechanism is very quiet, so the pump does not sound cheap, nor does it bother me. I only wish that the box could be better decorated by the manufacturer. My concern is that I may drip water on the cardboard during the filling operation, and this may cause damage. However, I would still buy it again next second. You won't be disappointed if you get it.

It is awesome how this watering system works. When we put up our Christmas tree and decorated it, we bought the ornament. There is a lot of velcro used to attach the water tube and sensor to the tree base - it is very sticky. The device itself works great and it is almost silent when the water is released. It is a struggle to attach to a still tree with many small limbs just above the top of the tree stand. In the future, I will attach them before the tree is in the stand. When I was listening to it in the room the first time, it was the only time I heard it. Only one criticism would be that the cap on the opening to fill the water basin is so damn tight that I must really struggle to turn it so I can fill it. As for the rest, I am very happy. It may be useful for future models of the sensor to have a line or a color an inch or two above the top of the sensor - It would be easier if it weren't on line. That way, it would be easier to position it relative to the top of the tree stand.
