I kept the lights and ribbon on my tree but took almost all of the ornaments and the topper off. I bought two and am glad I did because the bag had several holes after being moved through the door and into the garage. I was relieved to have a spare and put it on. I then used tape to secure the bottom to the tree's base, keeping bugs and dust at bay until next Christmas. I'll definitely throw it away and buy a new one for storage next Christmas; the plastic is very similar to the bag newspapers used to come in, and I don't think it would survive multiple uses (and I realize it wasn't designed to), and I don't think it would survive multiple uses (and I realize it wasn't designed to). It's a little thin and flimsy, but it does the job! Overall, I don't have any complaints, especially for the price!.
BUYING IS A MISTAKE. I would have returned it if it hadn't been for the fact that I needed it to protect a power tool from rusting in a shed. I'll be purchasing another to replace it as soon as possible because this one is of poor quality. Imagine the thinnest, lowest-quality garbage bag that tears just by looking at it; that is this product; at best, it is. It's not 1 million, it's 5 million. 2 mil!.
Yes, you must be careful not to rip the fabric by pulling too hard on each side. We carefully covered and disposed of the needles, leaving only a small amount to clean up. Please see the attached photos. On a side note, I'm also happy to buy from this company because it's a non-profit that employs people with disabilities and is made in the United States! Yea! I will definitely place another order!.
First and foremost, it did not fit around my Christmas tree. Maybe a third of the way. Lame. Second, while attempting to pull it over the tree, it was ripped to shreds. The bag is very inexpensive and thin. When I was dragging it outside, it completely ripped off and blew away in the wind. br>br>It's pointless.
The bag did exactly what I needed it to do, and it didn't rip (even when I put a tree with dry branches in it). We had a 9-footer on our hands. tree, and it was large enough to cover all of the branches- I was able to tie it up around the trunk and carry it outside without any pine needles falling into the house. Good product; I'll most likely order it again for future live trees.
When we were removing our tree, it did help to keep the mess to a minimum. br>br>We'll buy this item next year to use before putting up our Christmas tree.
It was ideal for removing my tree from an apartment building without causing a mess.
It's extremely slim! It might work for a small tree, but not for the large 9-foot tree advertised.
