No, Macs are too difficult to work with; instead, look for a Crack-based operating system. They work perfectly on a Mac.
The "mushroom" nutcracker's cracking space is large enough to crack hickory nuts. Personally, I haven't had the opportunity to crack hickory nuts; however, please give it a try, and if it doesn't work, please return it. br>Have a good appetite!
The mushroom's darker top section screws down into the nut as you turn it. I bought it to crack hickory nuts, but the nuts were harder than the wood the nutcracker was made of, and the nutcracker cracked.

This nut cracker is one of my favorites. I've recommended it to a lot of people because it's the best I've ever used. I eat nuts on a daily basis, and buying them in the shell saves me money. Plus, cracking the shells is enough of a chore for me to keep me from eating too many. This nut cracker is fantastic because it eliminates the risk of pinching my fingers. I used to enjoy the metal ones, but they were a little too challenging and frightening for me. This nut cracker works by squeezing the nut with a corkscrew until it cracks and splits open. The nut cracker's shape also helps to keep your shells contained, especially if you keep one hand over the opening and then dump everything into your dish. I believe it cracks nuts open more effectively than standard metal nut crackers. I get a lot of whole nuts, even the most difficult Brazil nuts, so I highly recommend it if you enjoy cracking nuts, and it also looks nice on your table or counter.
This nutcracker was purchased primarily for my 2-1/2-year-old son to aid in the cracking of nuts; this may seem odd, but he attends a Montessori school where this style of nutcracker is frequently used to aid in the development of fine motor skills. My son enjoys using it, and I appreciate the fact that it is made of natural materials that complement my walnut wood bowl. I intend to coat the exterior with beeswax to keep it looking nice. br>br>I enjoy using it as well. It's very appealing from an aesthetic standpoint. This is something I strongly suggest! The only drawback I found with this purchase was that when I first got it, a couple of areas on the wooden screw part were a little rough. This is visible in my photographs. Those small pieces of wood fell off after a couple of uses. However, you can easily sand that off with fine grit sandpaper. I still think it's a good deal because it's so inexpensive.
This is a lovely and delicate creature. We bought it for our toddler, who is obsessed with cracking nuts and needed a safe alternative that wasn't too heavy. We ended up ordering two more to give to other toddler friends as Christmas presents. It improves his hand-eye coordination as well. br>br> The cap and screw parts appear to be well secured, which would be a disaster if the joint was weak. The screw's metal base aids in the cracking of nuts, and the base appears to be strong enough to handle even harder nuts, with no risk of pinching. br>br>An added bonus is that the cap appears to be coated in beeswax rather than urethane or petroleum, which smells great right out of the box and appears to last a long time.
I've never used a better nutcracker. I cracked 20 hazelnuts in a row, and each one had the shell split in half and a whole nut popped out. Other nutcrackers are unwieldy and frequently break. Despite the fact that I just bought it, the quality appears to be of a high enough standard to last for many years. I appreciate the fact that it is made of wood and does not contain any plastic. My family has always had a tradition of cracking and eating whole nuts during the Christmas season. I'm going to get a few of these for my siblings as gifts, and I'm sure they'll enjoy them.
This is so neat and convenient that it allows me to have fresh, healthy nuts at any time without dropping food, scattering shrapnel, or cracking the nut so much that scraps of shell have to be picked out. It's simple to find good research that demonstrates how beneficial nuts are in a plant-based diet. It's also easy to find studies that show that keeping them in the shell keeps them fresher for longer than any other method. As a result, I'm getting another one for work as well.
It took an eternity to screw, and once the nut was cracked, both the shell and the nut ended up inside the hole, which had to be manually separated after taking the time to unscrew the cracker. In some cases, it simply smashed the nut together (shell and all), resulting in the entire thing being thrown away in frustration. This thing isn't even close to being usable. If you don't expect anyone to eat the nuts you put out, this is the option for you.
Summary: br>I got this as a gift for Christmas. It's a cute design. The nutcracking feature, on the other hand, necessitates some wrist strength to use. The material is of good quality.
