Questions & Answers
I also purchased the 14" set and was disappointed by the animals' size. They - are- The set that is supposed to go with the 14" set, but the size is unrealistic in the sense that the camels would break their backs if the 14" kings tried to ride them! The donkey is in a similar situation. I did not purchase the stable portion of the set, so I cannot comment on how they fit within it, but they do appear to be out of proportion to the human figures. (I was looking forward to seeing the camels, but I'm returning and purchasing the set without the animals.)
The camels I received were supposed to fit the 14", but they were far too small. I was a little let down.
This animal nativity figurines set works well with the 9" Joseph, Mary, and the Three Wise Men figurines.
This is for the 14" set, and it's a great addition to any Nativity collection.

I bought 10" people and 14" animals based on other people's recommendations, so the animals' size would be more in proportion to the people's. The standing camel, as you can see, is 4" smaller than the 10" wise man. The camel in the standing position is only eight years old. 5" tall. I'm not sure how they came up with a 14" size for this item because it's the largest of the four animals. NONE of the animals are scaled at 14 inches. The barcode says the animals are 14" long, but the box and Amazon item description don't say that. I should have listened more carefully.
The figures are lovely, but they're only scaled down for the 7-inch set. The box says "14 inch scale," but the figures aren't that size. Perhaps these figures would work if they were positioned on a distant hill overlooking Bethlehem. The standing sheep in the 14-inch Nativity set are about the same height as the donkey. These could be acceptable if you don't mind having pygmy animals. They will be returned to us.
My Three Kings Real Life nativity set is one of my favorite Christmas decorations. I bought the 7" set, but I read on here that the 10" animals looked better with the 7" figures, so I returned it. I bought both and can't decide which I prefer. The 7-inch animals appear to be a little on the small side; The ten-inch animals appear to be a little too big. I wish they'd released an in-depth analysis of the situation. between- 8" x 8" x 8" x 8" x 8" x 8" x 8 Oh well. Aside from that, the craftsmanship is lovely, and whichever ones I use (I usually mix them up), they're a lovely and inspiring addition to a nativity set.
The details are fantastic, and you can't tell the animals are from a different set than the rest of the figures. In my spare time, I've created a detailed scene map. Gammas in the style of the old Italians!.
We purchased both the 10" Nativity set and the 10" stable. We ordered the 14" animals based on suggestions from others. This turned out to be a good idea because the animals' scale is nearly correct, and the 10" animals would have appeared small in comparison to the people. All of the pieces, including the hand painting, have excellent craftsmanship. I've never seen a Nativity scene with the three kings' gifts included. Although the set is a little pricey, you get what you pay for, and we are very happy with it.
I'm so happy with everything that I ordered more. I'd like to add more city people Romans throughout Jesus' life. br>br>The facial expressions on these are better than on higher priced collections. br>There's one more thing I'd like to say. The Angel and the star should be placed higher in the sky. Everything should be dwarfed by the star in particular. After the trees are added, the star appears to be lost.
These figures are beautifully sculpted and well-made, and they are just perfect. When not on display, they come in a box with well-fitting Styrofoam to keep them safe throughout the year. I bought the smaller set because it was recommended by the manufacturer, but I found it to be too small and out of scale for the 7" figures I bought separately, so I exchanged it for their medium set. Three Kings Gifts suggested that the animals for the 10" figures are much more true to scale after speaking with them. They're made a little smaller on purpose, according to my understanding, so they don't take away from the baby Jesus. However, because I use the animals in the background rather than the foreground, these are much more effective for me. I'm very pleased with the overall appearance of my nativity scene as it stands now. Thank you for the gifts from the Three Kings.
To go with, I ordered this 12" set. These animal figurines are amazing. This 12" set was purchased to complement my 10" Real Life Nativity set. I'm so glad I took the chance. Most Nativity sets sold with the animals appear to me to be too small for the scene, so these animals in the 12" are more true to life size. I suppose this isn't meant to detract from the Spectacular Show and Glory of the infant Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Donkeys, camels, and cows/bulls, on the other hand, have a bit more mass in their bodies than humans. My Real Life Nativity set has taken on a whole new look. To go with my Nativity, I also purchased some 20" Fontanini Palm Trees and 7" Fontanini Palmyra Palm Trees. They balance it out and really bring it to life, giving it that old world charm.
