Everything appears to be light-hearted. My skinned one should be listed separately from the dark skinned ones.
Susan Lordi uses a special sculpting clay to sculpt and hand carve each Willow Tree® original figure (or prototype). The originals are then sent to a factory where they are cast in resin to capture each of her knife marks perfectly. Each piece is hand-painted with lead-free paint after the resin has been cured. Paint is provided for free.

My seven grandchildren were given the darker skin. We aren't blondes by any stretch of the imagination. They have brown to black hair, with some having very pale skin and others having dark. The darker skin tone didn't appear to be all that dark. Everything is fairly neutral. As a "hug" from me, I gave this to each of my grandchildren.

I own a number of Willow Tree figurines and have given a number of them as gifts. My entire collection of figurines has been women. Since I already had a daughter figurine holding a cat, I wanted a son figurine, and this one holding a puppy was ideal. My son is now an adult, but as a child, he had a small dog that he adored, and the dog adored him. I remembered those times when I read this one. It's not overly large, which is exactly what I was looking for to match the rest of my collection. I have a "mom" figurine, which I place beneath the taller mom figurine, and then I have a larger Christus statue (a replica of the Danish sculpture) atop my curio cabinet, which is quite lovely. Willow Tree figurines in general are beautiful. All you have to do now is find the ones that "speak" to you or the person to whom you'd like to give it. The father/son and father/daughter sets will be my next purchases.
I now have eight grandchildren and have attempted to obtain a Willow Tree figure for each of them! I love having these small reminders around, especially since all but two of them live hundreds of miles apart. I send a small prayer to them every time I see one, hoping they are having a good day! Once a day or ten times a day, it doesn't matter.
I bought the boy for my husband because we have two small dogs that look exactly like the dogs on the figurines, and we adore both our dogs and these figurines!.
In January, we lost our 15-year-old pet and replaced it with a puppy. I was looking for something to remind him of his love and bond with both of them. It was fantastic, and I would strongly advise you to try it.
The willow tree with the cat was a gift from my aunt to me. It was absolutely stunning (and I adore my cats). When my husband received an emotional support dog, I thought it would be appropriate to give him this one as well. We think the two of them are a good match for each other.

This figurine is stunning, but the fact that it is a memorial is heartbreaking - stage-four cancer claimed the life of an 11-year-old sweet puppy. four types of cancer The company was extremely helpful in sending me a list of figurine options to commemorate my dog's life, and his pawprints will live on in my heart forever. I'm very pleased. One of my three sons is represented by the figurine. He has a thing for canines.
After losing our beloved cattle dog, I bought this as a gift for my husband. It's a beautiful reminder and tribute to their love and the years we spent together. It's perfect!.
