There is a slight decline to the chair, so if you rock it slightly you recline slightly but you would have to hold it in the position where the chair is the furthest back. The back of the chair does not change position as you rock it.
Currently, I know nothing about it. It was my intention to state this. Almost two decades have passed since I bought mine.

I have owned a Dutailier glider for more than a decade. What a great idea This product looks amazing and has a good feel. In addition, I too had a problem with the customer service department. It appears to be a Canadian Company that does not care much about customers. Since these cushions have been in use for so long, I needed to replace them. They no longer make them for mine, I was told. It would have been nice if the rep had offered suggestions, but he hung up on me before even checking if there was anything which might work. My experience with the store followed a series of calls to get someone on the line. I went to a local baby store and bought new cushions, which aren't perfect but are acceptable for the time being. In the event that I were looking for another glider, I would probably consider another company due to the problems I've had with their customer service and their representatives' cavalier attitude.
The fabric was very low quality, and the stitching came apart after washing. When I called the company hoping to get some ownership, I was wrongly accused of washing them with a foam filling, something which was not even legal. The staff did not provide any help but offered to reorder cushions for me.
