I was so excited when we received the bear night light, but the bunny was nothing like the one I was expecting. Unlikely because it was packaged in the bear box, so I'm not sure if it was a return item. I took it out to see how it works, and it appears to be of good quality. It is really soft and squishy (almost to the point of giving away when picked up) but it keeps going back to its original shape. The inflatable part is nice, and my kid enjoyed squishing the ball over and over. I love that it is so bright for the dim setting, but so bright for the bright setting! Especially with night lights this is a bit of a challenge because it automatically adjusts to the correct level of light. It can either be very dim or very bright (so bright I can read by it). The button to turn it on can easily be found on the bottom, making it easy for a child to use. It can be tapped on, or they can simply press The remote allows you to change the color to any hue you want and adjust the brightness, and you can switch through all the colors either by gently transitioning through them all or by flashing through them all. As the transition is slow enough, you will not feel dizzy or have trouble sleeping. Alternatively, you can set a timer or just turn it on all night long. It might be fun for kids to tap, but it cannot be locked to dim at a particular color if you want it to stay that way. Night lights can only be set to a bright color (which is way too bright for the room) so they would need to be set on a shelf so they won't switch to a bright color if they bump it. One design flaw that I can see is that you can't lock the color on a dimmed version of a color, only on a full bright version. As a result, we would have to leave it on a table until my son (3 yrs old) is older since he would play with it too much by tapping on it. Though I'm not sure how my 5-year-old would react to it. We were disappointed that we got a wrong one, as we could not use it on our trip because the color would not lock. It is such a good idea, and if they can dim the light, it would be perfect.
