I found the included screws and wall anchors to be a little flimsy, as well as the hangers. The hangers are not welded to the upper frame; instead, they hang from it. This means they're easily bumped and moved around, giving them a cheap feel. In addition, due to some incorrect welds, one of my hangers did not fit properly into the back of the frame. br>br>I also discovered that the hangers are a little too long, requiring you to hang it very high on your wall as a result. br>br>To address all of these concerns, I personally shortened and welded the shelf's hangers to the frame, re-installing the shelf. It was painted, and stronger hardware was used to secure it to the wall (one side is also secured to a stud). Now that it is not too high up on the wall, I am confident that it will stay.
I like how this product looks, and the word "iron" on the front adds a cute touch (too bad it's in my basement). It holds a large iron and two containers that hold the iron's water. It's a well-made product that's simple to put together and hang. It is impossible to make a mistake!.
I bought this to add attractive storage to our laundry room, and it did not disappoint! Drill and hammer are required, but measuring and marking were simple, and I had no trouble putting it up on my own. The requirement for a 15/64th inch drill bit was unusual - I used a 1/4" drill bit and it worked perfectly. I love the shelf's space - enough to hold a large iron as well as other bottles (as shown). Excellent addition to our space, both in terms of appearance and functionality!.
The holes for the screws to bolt it to the wall are only 10 in apart, so because my ironing board is fairly heavy, we had to mount a piece of wood large enough to span the studs and then screw the holder to that, but it wasn't difficult; you can see what we did in the photo. I'm really pleased with how tidy my laundry room now is!.
It's quite effective. The cost, size, and color appeal to me. sturdiness is a word that comes to mind when I think of the word br>br>Putting the unit together was simple. Instead of hanging the hooks from the lower bar, as they suggested, I hung them from the middle bar. br>br>The only "negative thoughts" I have about this are:
- In contrast to the white of the holder, the screws are dark. I'm going to use a dab of nail polish or paint to toughen them up.
- Another issue was the roughness of the white board. Unscrewing it and lightly sanding it with 320grit sandpaper took care of the problem.
This was the first time I used my drill, and it was simple to hang. I discovered that I needed to hang it high enough so that the ironing board could hang from the hooks. Install the hooks and hang the ironing board, then mark the location where the holes will be drilled. lol But it worked out perfectly, and now my iron and ironing board are neatly tucked away in my closet flat against the wall, rather than being left out on the end table all of the time.
The good: It appeals to my tastes. It has a nice appearance and is large enough to accommodate my ironing board and iron. A spare wall screw and anchor were included in the package. The disadvantages: br>br> It arrived without a screw that secures the board to the metal frame on the bottom of the board. (br>br>I'm not going to bother returning it because it's a waste of time, but I don't like having to buy a new product and then having to go out and buy a missing screw. ).
I was looking for the perfect finishing touch for my laundry room when I came across this ironing board and iron storage system. I was blown away by how large it was for holding both of my irons, as well as its sturdiness after hanging the ironing board.
