The same is true for me. You can try using distilled water to solve the problem. The last shark I owned was more than 10 years old, which has never gotten leaky.

A few other stores and websites led me to this iron and I bought it. There was no way I could match the price and the steam feature sure gives a great "burst of steam". I like how easy it is to use, not too heavy. It's nice that it comes with a cleaning feature after use as well. As far as my friends are concerned, I am crazy because I love to iron, and have always been. I would recommend this product for its high quality, low price, and excellent price.
ASKED FOR A second chance. HAD A THIRD ONE I have yet to try. A BLUE SKY is not in the cards. After using it for the first time, I was surprised to see a lot of black water running off my ironing board when I carried it away. There was no way I was going to clean my carpet after this happened. All the way back to the laundry room, it left a trail of black water marks. No stains could be removed from my carpet even after I had it cleaned. The package had to be carried through three rooms, as I had carried it throughout the house. An iron that is very expensive. During the second time I used it, I did not have The third time, I used steam the day after the return date. I did not experience any water running from the front of my board. As I walked over the tile, I realized that there was black water all over it. I figured it LEAKED while the iron was in the When the iron was on its heel, in resting position, the water came from the FRONT of the board, not the back. My clothes and linens will get soaked with black water, so this scares me. There is ONE DAY left before it will be unavailable and therefore, not returnable. Prior to sending that iron back, I sent another one back. A major problem of a different nature. Purchasing a $10 iron has been the best money I've spent on an iron.
Having just finished my third essay, this one is the worst. I find it difficult to glide on it like the others do. I tried using the stainless steel plate for the first time and it stuck after a couple of usages, and the high heat turned brown anything that went on the bottom, making it very difficult to iron. I made the same mistake with my other 2 plates, and it didn't happen before. So that's it. I hope you found this helpful.

My wife and I bought this mode two years ago, and I bought a replacement from Amazon because it was so cheap, and she liked the weight and the feel of it. After two years, the cord at the handle of the first one had worn out three times. The Harbor Freight special bit for the screws came in handy for fixing the cord as I shortened it and rehooked it up. When I took it apart, the rubber seals on the pistons were distorted. Now, there is no steam coming from the system. There could have been seals installed that would have lasted longer for a few cents more. You shouldn't have high expectations from the new one, but the price was good.
I have updated Amazon has delivered a used product to me yet again. As a trend, this is becoming more common. It's very disappointing knowing someone else apparently used it and did not like it. I have not tried the iron yet and haven't used any irons before. It's a pretty good iron, and I tried it out. There are many buttons on the top, making it easy to reach them. My last iron had a lot of wrinkles, so I had to use a lot of spray starch to remove them. Due to the amount of steam that comes out, I didn't need to do that with this one. One challenge I have with that is that the water in it needs to be kept topped off. As far as length goes, the cord is perfect for me. As a whole, I'm pleased with the results and my used iron will remain with me.
In the beginning the device looked fine out of the box, but when I went to fill it with water, there were still water droplets on it from the last user. It had been returned, but I needed to use it, so I tried it out despite the fact that it was obviously a return. There was a loud popping noise coming from it but it worked okay otherwise. As I did not trust it enough to try the auto shutoff, I unplugged it from the wall socket.
