The same thing happens to mine. It seems to help to use distilled water. As a matter of fact, I was last stung by a shark 10 years ago and it never exploded.

My favorite part is how well it irons... The problem is... A loud cracking noise like popping can be heard when iron is heated. Do you know if the product is ?

The device does not appear to be defective. My device makes a popping sound when it is heated to steam temperature. There is no noise, but it is soft.

Iron of great quality
4/5

Having looked at some other online stores and stores, I just bought this iron. It was an unbelievable price, and the burst of steam sure gave it some "oomph. ". A simple, lightweight device that does not require a lot of effort It is nice that it has a cleaning feature after each use as well. It has always been my passion to iron, so my friends have incorrectly presumed that I am crazy. It is a good product, it is well priced, and I would recommend it.

This is a badly designed product
3/5

I gave it two tries. I DO HAVE a third that I have not tried. I don't think that's likely to happen. Using the iron for the first time, it was great, but when I was done I found that a lot of black water ran off my ironing board. I ended up ruining my carpet as a result. I found black water marks all the way back to the laundry room after it. No stains were removed from my carpet even after I had it cleaned. My bag went through three rooms because I had carried it. It is very costly to buy After I had used it the first time, I didn't use any is running off the front of my board. When I used steam AFTER the return date, no water was running off the front of my board. There were pools of black water on the tile, and only then did I realize that the iron was leaking when it was in the ironing During the resting phase, when the iron was on its heel, the water started coming FROM the FRONT of the board, not from the back. My clothes or linens may become soaked with black water, so I am concerned. There are ONE day for a return, and it is unusable and unreturnable. Prior to this, I had returned the same iron. Major problem of a different nature. We bought a $10 iron and are very pleased with it.

It was disappointing to see the With the amount of sewing I do, I had two shark irons I used often
3/5

Three out of four are bad for me, this is the worst. In comparison to the other, it does not glide well. It is brand new but for some reason the stainless steel plate starts sticking, and once the heat is applied, anything cooked on the bottom turns brown sabotaging the ability to glide smoothly. This never happened with my two previous irons, and I iron everything the same way. In other words. That's all there is to.

There are leaks
3/5

My iron leaks every time I use it, but it is supposed to not leak. We regret purchasing this product. We were not impressed with the product as a whole.

A weird plastic smell comes from solid iron
4/5

I got a set of irons off my wedding registry ten years ago and they were bristling with sparks. My research resulted in me becoming upset for like an hour about how to buy an iron. as soon as I started thinking about it I realized that it wasn't in my nature to spend $160 on an iron, so I went with this guy because I adore my shark vacuum cleaner. This is a pretty awesome app. There's an odd scent that reminds me of China. In the booklet, it said that would be gone soon.

The design is meant to last
3/5

She liked the weight and feel of the first one I bought her and she just bought a replacement on Amazon because it was so cheap and she liked it. Three times over two years, the cord at the handle was worn out on the first one. It was only a matter of a few minutes to cut the cord and reconnect it after I purchased the special bit. During the steaming process, the piston seals were distorted and I pulled the pistons apart because the steam had stopped. There was no need to put in short-lasting seals since they would have cost a couple of cents more. The price was reasonable for this one and you shouldn't expect much from it.

The one I received was used
4/5

The update is This is not the first time I've received a used item There is a trend in this direction. Even though I have not yet tried the iron, it is very disappointing to know that someone else clearly used it and didn't
I've tried the iron and am quite pleased with it. There are very few buttons on the top, so getting between them is easy. In order to get the wrinkles out of my last iron, I had to use a lot of spray starch. Since there is such a high amount of steam that comes out with this one, I didn't need to do that. There are some down sides to that, the most glaring of which is that I have to refill the water continuously. As far as I am concerned, the cord is the perfect length. My overall impression is that it worked well for me and I'm keeping the.

The iron I paid for was used and I received a new one
3/5

I had no problem with it out of the box, but when I went to fill up the water container, there were still water droplets left behind from the last user. Since I didn't have an iron working and needed to use it, I decided to use it even though it was obviously a returned item. There was a loud popping sound when it worked but otherwise it worked fine. Unplugging it was the safer option since I didn't trust the auto shutoff enough.
