How I got it

The product can be used to reduce creosote in a chimney already present?

I've been able to keep it at bay for my chimney so far. The fireplace in my bedroom is commonly used on cold nights and I have no creosote. Thank you for your help. As long as you use the fireplace regularly every week, you need to use it only once a week.

The shipping container opened during transit! It is a good product, but the shipping was problematic

In two of the boxes, I found that the tops of all six canisters were detached and the contents had scattered inside. It was impossible to open the box before hearing the contents moving around. When I contacted Amazon about the order, they replaced it immediately, but that one had the same problem with the canister tops. Luckily, not as much had fallen out as I had anticipated, and the lids could be replaced and the product used most of the time. There is, however, a design flaw in the product.

Fires caused by chimneys can be prevented

We've used these for years to control creosote on our chimney after a chimney fire that we experienced a few years ago. Creosote build-up hasn't been a problem for us, but we do throw one in once a week.
