We were anxious about ordering through Amazon, but it was a piece of cake. The delivery guy was friendly and helpful, and everything was in tact when it arrived, the camera is heavy but not that hard to move, my friends and a case of beer helped me out. You can find everything you need on youtube and if you're handy, take your time to do it right. I put the liner in myself too, it wasn't too difficult either. Tstove gives off great heat and doesn't take long to warm up, and because I haven't ever used a blower that pumps out heat, it is a little noisy on high, but I turn it down after I get the heat going when using it on high. A very easy to clean out product with a very nice appearance.
I enjoy how warm the house feels when I use this insert! In my experience, the blower does a wonderful Due to my central heat and air system, I run the house fan to distribute heat throughout the home. As a result of this thick stonework, I had to put the insert farther back into the fireplace, so I am not likely to I liked the way it was made, and it was Due to its weight, please take that into consideration. I'm in love with.
The product was fantastic.
It took me a long time to install the fireplace (insulating the walls and adding The off plate is 6 inches from the stove and it is insulated ), and a liner of one inch. By using well-reasoned techniques As long as we use seasoned wood, we have no trouble starting a fire. One of the most challenging aspects of learning how to use the fan was not overheating our large living room. We'll get some red coals once we get things going well, then we'll move to step 2. I'd suggest putting three sticks of wood at a time (while keeping the damper mostly closed) to keep things manageable. If you let it get too hot, it will get uncomfortable. The outside temperatures are in the 20s and 30s F (I'm talking about 20s and 30s It is nice to have a secondary burn, but the stove must have a good amount of coals or an active fire for the secondary burn to stay There are times when the damper should open a bit more to allow for a stronger flame when I just get the fire going. It is important to leave the door cracked for a few minutes so the fire can quickly heat up. As a result of EPA certification, I'm sure it is limited. In the case of overnight fires, we load the fire up to the top and turn the damper on. The chimney probably isn't the best place for it As far as a cleaning perspective, however, it does produce some smoke, but when we wake up in the morning we always have enough coals to start the fire My preference for wood type when first starting a fire is to use softer wood (like poplar or soft maple), as they burn more easily. If I'm going to use a hard wood (locust/oak) I'll place it above the softer stuff or on a hot coal bed. It is my sincere hope that you found this useful. The time someone takes to review a product here on Amazon is always appreciated.
The volume is 4 cubic feet. Amount in feet. This was the biggest stove I could find that would fit in my house for the price,It literally fitted into an old log 20 inches high the hearth had to be chiseled out. It is on two floors, a little over 1400 square feet. The bricks were shipped in place and some tumbled over during shipment, but the construction looked good overall. The chimney in the center of the house is a nice touch. There is a blower in the room to provide heat, but the windows in the house are old and leaky, but the stove has been adequate, and the door handle is reasonable but not as strong as others I've witnessed. All in all, I'm happy with this and would highly recommend it.
All I have to complain about is that the package was damaged in transit. The damage to my new insert isn't the fault of the manufacturer, but at least it's not their fault. The fuel is needed for my house to be heated, so I cannot send it back.
