Hello - Yes, this would work on a classic bay 1200. Thank you so much, Nathan! esstoves are a type of stove that is used to cook food.
Installing the thermocouple is actually quite simple; simply reverse the process of removing the old one, but take careful note of where the two electrical connectors' specific screws are located. You'll feed the thermocouple's head into the firepit area from the back of the stove, fasten it to the bracket, and cover it with the ceramic head cover so it juts over the actual fire pit. You must have the ceramic cover, so get one if you don't already have one and make sure it stays on the thermocouple's twisted head at the bracket. Then simply secure the two electrical connectors in their proper locations in the back, and you're finished!

I'm a service technician, and I purchased three thermocouples. They are compatible with the Quadra- 1100I, 800, 1000, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1400, 1400, 1400, 1400, 1400 1200I. When I first tried it on a 1200I, it didn't work. So I switched the wires around and discovered that the red and yellow coatings had been reversed when they were assembled. These wire connections are polarity aware, and the unit functions properly. Two metals are used to make the thermocouple. If it doesn't work, try switching the wires before returning it.
The thermocouple performed admirably. However, keep in mind the polarity of the wires. The red wire goes to the back of the control box, according to my manual, and the old one had yellow left and red right as well. I checked MilliVolt and the probe was working, but the polarity was reversed, so the heater did not work and shut down. On the terminal strip, I switched the yellow and red. It appeared to be successful.
I immediately noticed that the wire was of a much lighter gauge than the original, and that the ends were not twisted, but simply soldered. I assumed it was the new replacement because the part was correct, so I installed it with a new fire pot gasket, thermocouple mount, and a few other things, and when I tried to fire it up, it would start the initial fire but then stop feeding pellets, leaving me perplexed. After visiting a local stove shop, I discovered that the thermocouple I had was not the right one for my stove because it is much heavier, has twisted and soldered ends, and is much heavier. After a week and a half of trying to figure out what was still wrong, I purchased and installed one from a local shop. Since then, the stove has been operating properly thanks to the thermocouple. After explaining the situation to the seller, I had no trouble getting a refund. Thank you very much.
Although this thermocouple is not identical to the OEM, I believe it may be your only option. Note that yellow (on OEM) equals red (on this thermocouple) and red (on OEM) equals green (on this thermocouple) if you buy this. If you install your stove in reverse, it will go through the startup process but will not require pellets once it has warmed up. Also, because this is a shoddy product, double-check that all of the clips are securely fastened to the wires before proceeding.
I reinstalled my Quadrafire after picking it up from our local dealer after it had been cleaned and a part replaced, not knowing any better, and it worked fine for about two years, until it stopped working properly due to the pellet stove's infrequent use. After some investigation, I discovered that the thermocouple cover had been removed, causing the thermocouple to burn. No one is to blame, but make sure the ceramic cover is in place at all times. This thermocouple, as well as the cover, were purchased, and everything works fine. When buying this piece, make sure to get the less expensive cover, which is identical to the one I had before. The Quadrafire 800 is the model I have, and it fits three or four different models.
The unit would turn on but not feed after the first fire; I changed the polarity to the original specification and it worked perfectly. I saved $90. 00 if you compare it to the dealer's price. Excellent value for money.
Classic Bay 1200 is a fire pit. The connectors on this item are much smaller and do not seat properly. My control board went bad as a result of this thermocouple, which cost me $220. I purchased a genuine thermocouple from my dealer, and it worked perfectly with the new control board. This was a huge mistake. I've attached a photograph.
For some reason, the thermocouple failed to work. As a result, I had to purchase one locally in order to get my stove to work.
