Everything is in order. On my eleven-year-old Quadrafire Classic Bay 1200, I replaced the original control box, which had cracked and was no longer signaling pellet feed cycles. The stove has been restored to its original state. Installing it was a breeze.
This item is extremely effective. I just wanted to let people know that if they're buying this unit and aren't a Quadra Fire professional and aren't familiar with how it works, and don't have an owner's manual (like me), they won't get any instructions from the vendor. br>br>However, because of my unique circumstances, I was aware of what I needed to do. This was my second replacement, and I had received instructions with my first (which I am sure I kept, but couldn't find, like most things). So I recall using a screwdriver to change the setting to one of the three options available on this unit. My first replacement had been set to "1," so I replaced it with this new one and am back in business. br>br>The company ships quickly, and the unit arrived from the east coast to Colorado in four days for a $5 and change shipping charge, which I found impressive. br>br>As for the stove I have, it's a 1200-watt stove. Although it is a good unit, nothing can keep a control box from frying if the electrical company that supplies your power has erratic voltage spikes. That, I believe, explains why this stove's control box fails far more frequently than the stove itself. I just wish the power company would assist me in paying for this box, which is quite expensive.
The instructions made it easy to match the switch position to the old, plugged-in cntlr, and it worked like new. no issues.
Had a power surge that fried the board; it was very simple to replace by following the instructions and resetting the box to its original settings; it was so simple that even a caveman could do it. Make sure to use a surge protector.
Excellent value for money, and it arrived on time. The instructions were extremely detailed and helpful in setting the dial on the controller board for our model, and it immediately resolved our Quadra Fire 1200 issue of not lighting! We're back in the midst of the heat wave - WooHoo! I would strongly suggest it.
This was purchased to supplement my Quadrafire pellet stove. I purchased it because the Quadrafire stove has had a number of failures, and I try to keep spares of the majority of the parts on hand.
It also appears to be much more responsive to changes in the temperature.
It was simple to install and it solved the problem.
