For the past two weeks, we've been using the stove pictured above. It generates a lot of heat, and the thermostat has proven to be reliable so far. We haven't cleaned it yet, but I'll give you an update later.
Great temperature control, and I really like the auto-ignite feature, which means I don't have to fuss with lighting it. Simply turn the knob to the desired position and leave it there. Maintains a comfortable temperature throughout the entire house. I like the large hopper because it can hold three bags of pellets and, because I don't run overnight, I can go almost a week without having to refill it.
This stove produces a tremendous amount of heat. We haven't used our furnace once this winter in our two-story, 3700-square-foot home. When we are at home, we set the stove to level 7, and when we are away, we set it to level 3. On day 7, our downstairs temperature remains around 75 degrees Fahrenheit, while our upstairs temperature remains around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. We were paying $500 per month for propane last winter, so this was a great investment. This is a stove that I wholeheartedly recommend. I've never needed customer service, so I gave them a three.
Purchased for the purpose of heating a 1500 square foot shop. The heat output is excellent; however, it is rated for 24,000 square feet, and I do not believe the height of the building is taken into account! I have 18' walls, and the heat is located in the upper half of the structure! To get it back down to the floor level, I'll need to install a fan. Outside it's 40 sheets, 75 degrees inside the shop's high areas, and 60 on the ground! Because I don't leave it on all the time, it takes about 2 hours to warm up from outside temperatures inside!.
It's only been a few weeks, but it's already heating our home and running quietly. I'm still adjusting the temperature because it's getting too hot for my wife.
Temp control, auger and motor, motherboard, hopper switch, vacum switches, and other components have all been replaced, some multiple times. Tech Support is helpful, but the parts quality is so poor that I expect something else to go wrong every time I turn it on. When it works, it has a great design and produces a lot of heat, but the issues it causes are not worth it.
I'm a big fan of the 130-pound hopper. The stove will not continue to run on the lowest setting 1 when it self-regulates on temperature control, presumably because there is too much ash.
After using 8 bags of pellets, I just returned to the stove. The Auger Motor has broken down. (You) have been summoned for service. I was told to bypass the vacuum switch, but that didn't work, and I was told to remove the hopper safety switch, but that didn't work either. I was instructed to conduct a voltage test on the auger motor (say what? ), and if all went well, we would send you a new motor. There was no help after I installed the motor. Okay, you'll need to check the voltage between the mother board and the motor. I had to pay to have this tested because there was no voltage. Also, according to the electrician, the mother board is not fused, so good luck with that. (THANK YOU VERY MUCH) I returned the item to Tracker Supply for a complete refund.
