Yes, I use it without the heater every day. I don't need the heater because I live in Arizona, but the lights are lovely.

This is an example of creativity. What a lovely fireplace! I'm so excited to tell you about it!! It comes in nine different colors and heats up quietly. The flame is bright and appears to be genuine. I strongly advise you to purchase it. The quality is excellent, and the price is very reasonable.
br>br>First and foremost, let me say how much I adore this fireplace. I was so excited to get it that I almost leapt into the arms of the FedEx guy during these times of social distancing, which is saying a lot considering I was social distancing before it was required. br>br>I skipped into the house, tossed caution to the wind, and shredded the box with my box cutter in a matter of seconds. Doh! That was a huge blunder. I had not considered the possibility of having to return it. Things start to get dicey at this point. My husband started taking things out of the box, and all that was left were the decorative rocks, the fireplace itself, and two black brackets for mounting. There are no rules. There isn't a remote. There are no screws or other pieces of hardware to be found. To figure out what was supposed to be in the box, I had to go online and do some research. We would have bought the extra items ourselves if we could have found an instructional video, but we couldn't find one, and we don't even have the remote control. I'll end with a joke. br>br> Soup is ordered by a customer in a restaurant. The waiter walks away after placing the bowl on the table. The customer returns the call and requests that the waiter sample the soup. Is it too cold, asks the waiter? Just try the soup, says the customer. Is it too hot, asks the waiter? WILL YOU JUST TAKE A TASTE OF THE SOUP? a customer exclaims. I'll try the soup, says the waiter. I'm looking for the spoon, but it's not where I expected it to be Customer: "AHA!" says the speaker. That's exactly how I felt when I first opened this package. I wanted to admire it and hang it, but I lacked the necessary materials. It's a beautiful fireplace. I turned it on by plugging it in and pressing the power button on the unit. It appears to be absolutely fantastic. Hopefully, one day, it will be on my wall rather than on the floor of my living room, as it was intended. Because of the missing items of necessity, I gave it a three-star rating. The unit appears to be excellent in its own right. I'll keep everyone up to date on how it went. Take advantage of your firepits. The customer service is outstanding. br>br> Although I did not receive the hardware or instructions for this fireplace, Fiona, the customer service representative with whom I spoke, went above and beyond to help me and promptly responded to my emails. She was extremely courteous and promptly shipped out the parts that I required. Fiona, thank you so much! This fireplace is one of my favorites.
You can put it on the floor, hang it on the wall, or put it in the corner. It's fantastic.
It's been a lot of fun finishing my basement and putting this together. I'll take some more pictures once it's all finished and installed. I only put it in to see how it would look once the drywall was up. But it's very nice, and it produces a small amount of heat, nothing spectacular, but enough to satisfy for a quick boost. The size, design, and appearance of the fire are exactly what I was looking for, and it fits in nicely with what I built.
I love the crystals, the color selection, and the price! Even better, this bad boy puts out a lot of heat, enough to warm my mid- to large-sized bedroom. You have the option of mounting it (which "we" (my husband) did) or leaving it freestanding on your floor. The mount is included, and anyone who has followed my online home decorating craziness knows how much I adore this item! This is a purchase that you will not be disappointed with.
The flames and the construction are both excellent. Heavy construction, nice flame appearance, bad thermostat that always cycles, so I just run it full on or off, also 1 heat setting, high or high doesn't change, checked with a heat gun, and it's more like 1200 watts than 1500. update: I put a cheap blower in the cabinet to help push air into the fireplace, and it now works much better, with good heat and no cycling. Either the cabinet was too tight, or the fan inside the unit is a slacker.
