No, but no one can elp with repairs, so I wouldn't do it again.
There are no windows or doors that are made of glass. They're screen doors made of metal. br>br>The fireplace insert, as well as the logs and mantel, will be delivered to you. Everything else would have to be bought separately.br>br>
Yes, but it should never be left unattended with a secondary heater.
It does have a thermostat that you can adjust, and the flame only has one setting. This has been ours since March, and we are very happy with it. It heats our entire house of over 1300 square feet without the use of a blower.

I had the gas company hook it up, and it lasted about 32 hours (not nonstop). stop. I was using the thermostat remote when it suddenly stopped working. I followed the instructions and was able to get the unit to run for another 8 hours before it shut down again. I contacted Amazon customer service, and they told me that I couldn't return it because I reported it on December 16 (I guess the 30-day period began on December 5th). br>br>The gas company believes it is a faulty unit and is baffled as to why it won't start. It's probably my fault for not having the gas company on standby to come over to my house right away. It's unrealistic to expect an appliance to be installed, functional, and troubleshootable in 30 days. Without a working unit, I've put around $1200 into this purchase. I am not pleased!.
So, after a year of ownership, I believe I am qualified to write a review. I installed this in an old house that we must keep warm and dry during the winter. br>The cabinet is extremely well-made and durable. Pretty. It was a breeze to put together. br>The metal casing is also quite attractive. br>I dislike the fact that hooking and unhooking the gas lines necessitates removing the entire cabinet. br>It worked fine for a while, except that the batteries died quickly, about one set every 6 to 8 weeks, even with "good ones. " There are two major issues, however. br>br> It's remote-controlled, and the batteries, as I previously stated, would run out. They appeared to perish once while the logs were lit. When I came in to check on the house one day, it was over 100 degrees! I was unable to turn them off using the remote control. It started working properly again after I replaced the batteries, but it was still consuming them. br>br>Now comes the season, and you're stuck for ideas. After replacing the batteries, it got cold one night, so I tried to turn them on. A click can be heard, but the light does not turn on. I saw on another website that someone else had to replace the control unit due to what appeared to be the same issue. They're all older than a year. br> br>I'm not sure where I'll get parts or whether I can trust them to fix them.
The fireplace is beautiful except for one flaw: the middle bracket is missing, and I won't be able to install the fire logs until I get the bracket. I emailed them photos of the missing part as well as copies of my receipt. Three weeks later, I'm still waiting for a response, and every time I call, it takes about 30 minutes to speak with someone, and it's always the same woman. She says they're working on it and will send me an email once it's ready. This is the second time I've been told this, and I've received no response. The fireplace is well built and functions well, but it does make a loud clicking noise when it is turned on or off, as I previously stated. It's possible that this will come as a shock to you. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the fact that customer service is so important.
We've had this fireplace for a year and are now in our second season with it, and I have to say it's fantastic. This unit heats my entire house because it is so efficient; it is solid wood, and I mean SOLID; every piece of it is very heavy. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that the remote isn't very good; there is no down button for the thermostat set, only an up, and you have to hold it down until it goes back through the temperatures to get it to where you want it. You must also change the four double A batteries once a month, which I had to do on my old fireplace as well. Overall, you're getting a good unit for a good price; just make sure there's a vent somewhere in the room or a 5 inch crack in a window. This is a Vent Free Fireplace, which simply means it does not have a vent. You must still have some type of ventilation in the room, as with all Vent Free gas heaters.
The fireplace is amazing, and the delivery was a little rushed. Since we ordered it in late spring, we believe it will be our primary source of heat for the coming winter. We had a cold spell and were able to put it to the test, and we were blown away! The effect is very similar to that of a wood stove, but without the mess. br>br>Came in a variety of colors, but this one was $300 less expensive than the off white one I preferred, so I'll use it to paint the walls of my living room. br>br>Remote senses room temperature, but occasionally fails to turn on (or off!) the fireplace. ) but wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wo br>br>It's where we put our 55" TV, and it looks fantastic! The flames are lovely as well. br>br>It was also very simple to assemble, and the mantle is sturdy, far superior to the electric fireplace we had previously!.
In my downstairs great room, this lovely fireplace is a show-stopper. I bought it in May of 2016 and only used it for a month in September of that year on a couple of cool evenings. Then, in October, I attempted to turn it on, but it refused to light, despite the fact that the pilot light was clearly on and the gas tank was full. Following an $80 investment, 00 service call, the technician discovered a stuck fuel valve, and I had to order a $70 part. Pay an extra $80 for the $00 part. The stuck valve was replaced with a new valve after a 00 service call. So add $230 to the total. After using the fireplace, I was quite dissatisfied with the addition of 00 to the purchase price- gently- A year ago, I was only there for about three weeks. I don't believe a valve should freeze up so easily, and the additional financial outlay to keep it running irritates me.
You can save a lot of money on oil. The fireplace is absolutely stunning. I got a lot of positive feedback. Cabinet is lovely. This month, we're conserving a lot of oil. We had to get past the odor of the paint on the logs, but with the blower, this fireplace now heats our entire house. Our first fire box had a problem with it. It was impossible to keep it lit. Fortunately, Amazon provided a replacement. Our Plumber returned at no charge to reinstall it. So far, the new one has performed admirably. We adore our fireplace!.
For our new home, we bought this fireplace. It went together quickly. Our space is ideal for the style and size. It appears to be quite lovely. The issue is that it does not work. It turns on and runs for about 5 minutes before shutting down. We've called customer service several times and tried all of the fixes they recommended, but it's still not working. In our living room, it basically serves as a decoration. Don't throw your money away.
