Is it possible to use this to seal the gap between the tile surround and the fireplace door?

There is quite a bit of thickness to it. Filling a hole between a fireplace vent and a brick wall was made easy with this product.

This item is made in the USA, according to the manufacturer.

Are there any off-gassing effects and if so how long do they last?

What size should I get for my ashley bec95? I bought the 1/2 inch and it doesn't seem to be thick enough. ?

This will flatten out and fit better since it is 7/8 " to 3/4 " thick.

It has a small diameter
3/5

It allows air to enter through the door. Quadra-Door gaskets had been worn out after 4 years, so it was time to replace them A fire 2700i (ACC) is available Multiple places on the door failed the dollar bill test, indicating the door needs to be replaced. The Quadra-shaped area below is known as the Quadra-sphere This is the fire department's part number for the door gasket ("832-") In my investigation into the gasket for the door rope (1680), I discovered it is 3/4" in diameter. I purchased a Midwest Hearth gasket for an extremely low price, however I found that the finished gasket was of a much smaller diameter than my original manufactures gasket, resulting in an even worse door seal than I initially had with my Below is a picture of the new gasket compared to the previous one from 4 years ago Wood gasket that was in our house - Guess I'll have to spend more time pulling out the "new" Midwest Hearth gasket, cleaning out the gasket channel (another time), and spending money on a "bigger" 3/4 gasket (this time I'll purchase from an OEM supplier). The Midwest Hearth gasket was installed very carefully so that it was not stretched out during the installation process (which would have produced a gasket of a smaller diameter). No matter how carefully I took care of it, it did not work. It would not be recommended to use this gasket in a Quadra-Core A wide variety of stoves & fireplaces Then inserts it.

I couldn't be happier with how it worked out
5/5

A gap between the top and bottom of the glass in my Legacy stove's door had created as a result of the glass slipping down. A perfect replacement gasket for the existing product was provided by this product. I was very pleased with how the installation went. It is the gasket that needs to be cleaned thoroughly on the door. It is amazing how well the adhesive works. The surface of the cast seems rough, so I was concerned that I might have difficulty adhering to it In fact, it was not. I had to experiment a bit while installing the first few inches of gasket to determine the best way to align the gasket so that the entire edge of the glass was surrounded by it. A great deal of repositioning of the gasket adhesive was possible due to the forgiving nature of the adhesive. I found the installation to be relatively easy and it turned out nicely since the glass is up where it belongs and because of that the glass stays cleaner since it is not blocked by the primary air/air I am unable to rate durability at this time.

There is nothing better than being fat
5/5

In order for the gasket to be hardened, the mating rib must press hard against it. It is easier to latch the door once it is broken in, but the gasket hardens and becomes hard after a while. Centering the sticky side of the flat gasket into the groove allows it to form into the groove and make a nice U-shape. Seal in a shaped shape. To ensure a stronger seal, the outer edges of the gasket wrap around the rib and remain soft. Using a round gasket puts less pressure on the hinges than a fat round gasket would. It is a product that I recommend.

I really like what you have written I was surprised at how thick it was
5/5

The glass is being installed into the door of my wood burning stove - I purchased this to replace the broken one. The glass that broke did not have a gasket, which is odd. A friend mentioned it to me at the store where she bought her glass, and it seemed like Finally, the gasket was much thicker than I thought it would be. This was not possible because the glass I cut was too close to the exact size of the opening, which didn't allow enough space for this to work well. There was still a lot of room for the gasket even without it. As a result of the final fit being too tight, the glass ended up cracking The glass expanded as it was heated, so it was not capable of handling it. But I took the chance regardless of what I saw coming. being said, there was no fault on the gasket's part. I just thought you might find it interesting. Although the gasket was very well made, it did not work well however, if the glass had been cut with more tolerance, it would have worked ok. When I replace the glass again I will remember about the gasket so that I can reuse it when necessary. I would definitely buy this gasket again at this price and I hope it will be available in the future.

For my pellet stove I need a 7/8-inch graphite gasket
5/5

A foot of space was left over after cutting this gasket to fit my pellet stove. You can remove the old one and then install the new one & The channel needed to be cleaned before the screen was installed. My name is Bev, I'm 68, and I'm a grandma It only took me an hour to do what needed to be done, including cleaning the stove and removing the old cement. To remove the old stuff, I used a flat screw driver. I then used a metal battery brush to make the channel even cleaner. The door was cleaned of ash by washing the entire surface. A thin line of cement was then put all the way around the channel after it was rewet. Starting from the top left, I placed the cement with my finger and did not stretch the rope. My method is to wait until it has set for about 30 seconds, then bury it. In order to hold the tape in place, I carefully taped it as I went. I cut off the excess cement at the seam and added a little extra to the seam. After that, I shut the door tightly to ensure it was properly sealed. As soon as I opened the door, I let it sit for over an hour, then I removed the tape and For an hour or two, I left it running before turning I ran it as usual in the morning. Adapts well to your body type and fits well You can do it easily! It didn't take long to install the gasket, so there was no door removal. I cut my own expenses by over $200.

The products are assembled in the United States
5/5

This is an easy process. Basically, it fell off when I pulled up on the old gasket. The old glue sanded like chalk as soon as I sanded it. The new gasket was applied after the area was cleaned with alcohol. You can remove the glue backing by peeling it off. I see no way for it to come off after a few fires. A high-quality, flat rope made of fiberglass. From then on, I will never use glue from a tube again. It was made in the USA as a surprise ending. Having nailed this gasket to two chords of wood, I cannot envision how this will ever come loose. The oven was so well installed that you could slam the stove door and it would not make any sound, just bounce.

I found this to be the best glass gasket I have Thick enough to act as a solid seal, with a tighter weave
5/5

We're dealing with a 'three' A two-sided U-shape Design in the shape of an egg. As you unroll the glass, the middle section is flat and goes against the edge, and the other two sides fold over the front and back of the glass. My experience is that it seems well made, installs quickly and seals better than any other wood stove glass seal I have ever used. As well as being nicer looking, the dark color is also more attractive. My wood stove will need another overhaul every few years, so I will buy this one again.
