This isn't your typical dehumidifier, which is more concerned with appearance than performance

This dehumidifier is made to remove moisture from the air quickly and effectively. It is in our 1,200 square foot unfinished basement and has no issue keeping the humidity level at 58% (which we set as our benchmark level). Unlike the white composite dehumidifiers sold in big box stores, this one has a more industrial appearance. It's big and bulky, and it's difficult to move around. It's quiet, energy-efficient, and comes with a removable metal-encased filter (though we also bought two more filters). The only disadvantage for us was that the tubing that came with it was not long enough to reach the drain, so we had to buy a 10' one from the hardware store for around $5, which was not a major issue. It's easy to use, and it's more about function than appearance. It is very good at what it claims to be good at.
