There isn't a single thing that works on the device. br>I attempted to contact Amazon for a refund, but they refused to accept the unit back or issue a refund. When I found out, I contacted the manufacturer and informed them of the situation, as well as the fact that, despite the fact that the unit was brand new, Amazon refused to assist me in replacing it. Vornado stated that because this fan's serial number is still under their two-year warranty, they will not be replacing it! Neither party is willing to assist me in resolving this, so I've just squandered my money. It's sad to see how neither company wants to help a customer whose item doesn't work when it arrives, but is perfectly content to take their money. br>br>When purchasing this item, please use caution! You might find yourself in a similar situation, with squandered funds and a broken fan. br>br>Extremely dissatisfied!.

If there isn't a fan noise to lull my boyfriend to sleep, he might die. Regardless of the fact that we live in the age of smartphones, he will be drowned out by the noise. We were planning a trip to the Dominican Republic and needed a way to pay for it. We had no trouble packing this because it was fairly compact. It wasn't particularly loud, and we had to plug it in quite far away from the bed, but it did the job. It would need to be fairly close to you in terms of air output, but I think it would work well as a desk fan or on a bedside table, so I'm giving it 5 stars anyway.

First and foremost, I adore vornados; we now have a total of seven, and I've purchased a few as gifts. They definitely do a better job than a regular fan at moving air around a room, and they are typically smaller in size. br>br>I will say that on higher speeds, they are also a little loud, and this fan is no exception. We have a 14x14 master bedroom with a 14' A-frame bed and a 14' A-frame bed. We bought this for all three of them: a 12x12 bedroom with a frame ceiling and two 12x12 bedrooms with high ceilings. It makes a significant difference in terms of moving air throughout the space. The oscillator, on the other hand, does click a little. I don't mind if I'm doing something else, but it's a little too loud to ignore when we're trying to sleep. Having said that, we rarely use the oscillate function and are content with the fan. br>br>I should also mention that the buttons on this model are in inconvenient places. On this thing, I know they leaned toward design. Turning it on and changing the speed with a rolling switch is ridiculous, and putting the oscillate button on the OPPOSITE side as a toggle switch like an ON-OFF switch is even more ridiculous. The OFF switch is just weird, and I'd be annoyed with it if I used the oscillation more. Still, the buttons don't detract from the product; they're just strange, and I like the fan. For around the same price, there's a smaller, less attractive, standard-looking model that doesn't oscillate and has a standard fan switch on the back.

Size and performance are both excellent. The only annoyance is that when you turn on the fan, it starts on High and then you have to rotate an awkward dial one more time to get it to Low. Turning on the fan requires both hands because the switch is so stiff. The oscillation function has a simple on/off switch. Every time I see someone try to turn this fan on or off, they go for the back switch that controls the oscillation first. I've had two of these, and the first one burned out after only a few months of use. It's still a great fan, but the functions are a pain.

Updated on August 17th, 20: The oscillating motor has died completely, and it no longer enjoys working at high speeds. It will, but the speed is inconsistent, so I believe the fan is nearing the end of its useful life. In my opinion, anything less than two years old is of poor quality. In addition, I could never get used to the speed control dial on the front. The majority of the time, two hands are required: one to hold the fan and the other to persuade the dial to turn. Overall, I'm replacing this fan with a new one that should last longer and is more user-friendly. br>br>Not super quiet, but since I like to use a fan at night for white noise even when I'm not hot, it's ideal. I like how the housing with the blades can be directed from straight up to nearly 45° angled down. The fan speed plastic gear feels a little flimsy, but I don't think it'll be an issue because I don't adjust it very often. Overall, it went above and beyond my expectations.

Vornado fans are known for not making their products easy to clean, and this one is no exception. It took a while for me to remove the front silver grill from the back of the fan so I could clean it. For cleaning, unlike their tower fans, this does not require complete disassembly. I believe I'm done with the Vornado brand. br>Like many others have said, it's loud, and I don't believe it produces enough airflow to justify the noise it makes. My other USB/Battery(18650) powered fans are smaller, more powerful, quieter, and most likely less expensive.

This is a good desk fan that doesn't take up too much space. It was purchased to replace a large metal-leg fan that took up the same amount of space as a slow cooker. This fan is powerful enough to keep me cool even if I'm only a few feet away. It's a lot of fun to use while I'm working on my computer, and I'd bring it on a trip with me. I don't use the oscillation very often, but it's smooth and has a good-sounding frequency. arc of a reasonable size br>br>The thumb switch does not appeal to me. To operate the switch with my right thumb, I must place my left hand on top of the fan and use a few fingers of my right hand to steady the fan on the bottom right. I'd prefer a turn switch on top or in the back, like the other fans I have that I can turn on with one hand, but I wouldn't give up this fan because of the pleasant breeze it produces and its small size.

The first one, I believe, lasted about 5 years. I've simply ceased to function properly- As a result, I went a week without it. Then I finally gave in and bought another. With the fan on, I sleep a lot better. It's just the right amount of white noise, and it's right next to my bed, moving just enough air for me. In fact, I point it upward in the winter just to get some air and noise - I don't need to be cooled down because I'm not a hot person. I've never taken it with me on a trip, but I'm considering it now!.
