BEAT THE HEAT – If you don't have central air and your window air conditioners aren't doing a good job of moving air around your house or apartment, this stand up fan will help you feel cooler by creating excellent air flow. It has a built-in carry handle, oscillation, and a convenient remote control for when you don't want to get up to change the settings.
VERY QUIET – The fan, which has three speeds: H, M, and L, creates a powerful breeze, but even on H, you can hear the TV. If you need white noise to sleep, this fan is the perfect size to aim over a high bed and produces a soothing purr that drowns out bedroom noises, making it simple to fall asleep. The timer can be set to save energy starting at 0. 5 to 7. 5 hours.
FRESHER AIR – The built-in ionizer emits millions of negative ions into the air, which bind to positively charged ions such as dust, bacteria, pollen, smoke, and other allergens. The particles become heavier and fall to the ground once the bond has been formed. The air in the room becomes naturally fresher as negative ion levels rise.
Standing 42 inches tall, this is a true space saver. The sleek, vertical design of the 5" tall tower fan, with a small 13" x 13" footprint, optimizes floor space and allows you to place it in places where pedestal fans aren't allowed. The dorm, kitchen, living room, RV, and home office are all great places to put it.
GENERATIONS OF TRUST – Lasko has been manufacturing high-quality home goods for over a century. When it's hot and humid outside, Lasko Wind Curve tower fans are ETL Listed and come with our trusted Blue Plug safety fuse technology, making them a safe choice for a refreshing fresh air breeze.

Questions & Answers

My fans tend to collect a lot of dust, so can the fan be easily opened to clean inside?

This is a fantastic fan, but it attracts a lot of dust and is a nightmare to clean. It will spew sticky little quarters once it has gathered enough dust. Every time you hit it, inch dust bunnies appear. br>My most recent cleaning attempt began with the removal of nearly 20 screws, including two hex socket screws, in order to remove the cover. One end of the tubular blade assembly came apart easily once inside, but the end where the blades meet the motor appeared to be designed to prevent maintenance. That screw was firmly in place, in an inconvenient location, and was made of the softest metal I'd ever encountered in a fastener. It turned out that removing it without completely stripping it was impossible. br>I decided against drilling it out and am looking for a new fan instead. The blades are completely caked in dust, and cleaning them would necessitate getting into 360 individual slats with a q-tip. tip.

Is this a better option than the Honeywell HY-100? 048BP - Please accept my sincere gratitude?

After owning two of these, a Lasko 2521 and a Honeywell TurboForce Fan, HT-R has decided to write a review. I can respond to this question with a score of 900: The Honeywell 048- is unmistakably the answer. BP, and it has to do with the unit's design flaws. br>I first purchased this product in 2007, and it lasted about a year or two, after which I went out and purchased a replacement within a few weeks or months (so they are still producing this garbage 8 years later). The second one broke solely because I attempted to disassemble it to clean it because there is no way to open and clean it. The air quality was fantastic with both units, but after six months, It would produce less air after a year (due to the unit being so clogged and in desperate need of cleaning). That is why, in the first place, I attempted to clean the second one. After cleaning it, putting it back together caused the motor and everything inside to spin and go crazy, rendering it unusable.br>Now onto my Honeywell TurboForce Fan, HT-100. 900: This fan was purchased between 2010 and 2011 to replace a garbage unit. Guess what, it still works at the end of 2015, and I no longer own it because I had to leave it with a friend because I was moving back home and couldn't bring it with me on the plane. It was still as strong as an ox five years later, and it had probably only had one major cleaning, which was in 2014 when I decided to throw it directly under the sink and leave it to dry for about seven days, and it worked flawlessly after that. br>I bought the Lasko 2521 four months ago, but I had to sell it when I returned home. During the three months I owned it, it worked flawlessly and threw so much air that I had to sleep with it on the lowest setting, and I'm not the type of guy who sleeps with the highest setting. Cleaning the Lasko 2521br>In the meantime, this piece of garbage costs twice as much as the Lasko 2521, produces less air, and is nearly impossible to clean. In short, if you're a Lasko fan, stick with another Lasko and avoid this piece of garbage, or switch to Honeywell. Personally, I like both brands, but when it comes to longevity and quietness, Honeywell takes the cake. br>Lasko: I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're talking
Pros: br>Pros: More air, better performance than Honeywell br>Cons: They don't last very long and are difficult to clean.br>Honeywell:
Pros: Pros: Longer life expectancy, quieter because less air is producedbr>Cons: In comparison to Lasko, it produces less air.

Is it in a state of flux?

That's correct. However, the oscillation is not very wide. It rotates at a 45-degree angle, in my opinion. A 180-degree or 90-degree rotation, in my opinion, would have been preferable. But I'm still a big fan.

I'm curious about the manufacturer of this fan. I'm looking for one that was made in the United States. ?

On the box and beneath the fan, "MADE IN CHINA" is printed. Regardless of what they say, this is not the one to buy if you want something made in the United States. Although the product was designed in the United States, it was made in China.

That sweet sweet breeze had me all dripping wet
5/5

Allow me to describe this fan to you. It's simple, breezy, and not sleezy at all. Have you noticed the grain in the wood? I'm going to cry, so please hold me back. You're paying $55 to get out of a damn heat stroke with a voucher. The world is on fire, and the planet is heating up, but you're going to be smart, right? Set up one of these bad boys in every city hall in your state to fight Trump's dismissal of the EPA with this (surprisingly tall) modern work of art. Are you a humanitarian who doesn't care? Place it right next to your head at night, like I do, and get drilled in the face by that cool, angelic wind current. You have a REMOTE for that, so don't even think about touching it with your hands. You'll feel cooler than ever controlling it with infrared, baby, even if it's only an elbow's length away. To encourage Alexa integration, I gave this a 4 out of 5 on versatility.

Excellent for use in humid environments
5/5

This fan was purchased as a "treat yo self" item to replace a sad oscillating fan I had previously purchased on sale from Food 4 Less, and I have no regrets! br>br>I bought this because my previous fan was insufficiently powerful - When it passed by, I didn't notice much of a breeze. I bought this because I needed something more powerful and less clunky, not because it had an ionizer. For a variety of reasons, my room is now humidified: Huge old furniture in a small room, stale air with no circulation, and even when I leave my window open for days, the humidity never goes away because a tree blocks any pleasant summer breezes. It is UNBEARABLE to be in my room. I'm dying at night, especially when I'm having hot flashes, because I can get extremely hot and uncomfortable very quickly. With that said, this fan does an excellent job. br>br>It has a lot of power and helps to circulate the air in my room. I always kept the fan in my room on, not because I was hot, but to circulate the stale air in my room to keep my allergies from getting out of control, and this fan also makes my room feel fresh! My room is much less humid now, and I adore this fan! br>br>I like that the fan has a remote, but it does require AAA batteries, which is a drawback for me because I never have AAA batteries on hand and only have AA. But it was a breeze to set up this fan! br>br>Funny little piece of advice: if you're small, do this with someone else. I'm 5'2 and didn't realize how tall this tower fan was until I tried to shimmy it out of the box on my own and shook it so hard that the ridiculously tall box smacked me in the face. Furthermore, because the tower fan's base is so long, putting it on the floor was a little inconvenient. It's fairly self-explanatory and simple to set up the fan. Because of his height, this fan is easily nearly as tall as I am, and he nearly defeated me. br>br>Do not be put off by my sassy opinions. This is an excellent fan. Another peculiarity is that it is a little noisy even on the lowest setting. Be aware that I am accustomed to sleeping with the television or radio on. Although it is not particularly loud, I am aware that some people are extremely sensitive to noises while sleeping and that this is not taken into account. It is tolerable for someone like me to sleep with this on the lowest setting because it simply becomes background noise, and if you are like me and can sleep to television noises, this should not be an issue. In the event that you forget to turn it off, it has a timer built in. br>br>I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I do!.

This was the best drunk purchase I've ever made, and it was well worth the money
5/5

I'm not sure how much I paid for this fan, but it was well worth the money. Because I live in the Midwest, where summer is like living in satan's armpit, my expectations were low when I discovered that I had drunkenly impulse purchased a strange swiveling fan. The fan, on the other hand, appears to be quite nice, and the ionizer, while I'm not sure what it does, appears to be quite impressive. For the amount of air it blows out (which is a lot), the fan is very quiet, and it rotates quite a bit to cover my 20x20 living room. For someone who lives in a swamp cooler, this has literally saved my life by preventing me from melting into my couch due to the extreme heat in my home.

It's simple and straightforward

Oh man, this thing is so cool, I'm thinking I'll never turn on the air conditioning again. This fan has brought me so much relief, it's perfect for cooling down the room so I can snooze before being up all night. Definitely recommended! Airflow is good, and the design is sleek
5/5

The Vornado 184 tower fan was recently reviewed by me. To put it bluntly, I was let down. As a result, I returned it and replaced it with this Lasko 2554 tower fan. br>br>Believe me when I say that this Lasko 2554 is about $45 less expensive and performs far better. The Lasko is a good tower fan with a good build quality. It produces enough air and is also relatively quiet. Although no tower fan will outperform a regular axial style conventional fan, tower fans do have a more streamlined appearance. I'd rather have a small amount of airflow with a tower fan than a large, unsightly box fan. br>br>Not only does this Lasko 2554 have a nice appearance, but it also feels very solid when compared to similar units. It's not wobbly because it oscillates at the very bottom of the stand; I've owned several tower fans over the years, and this one blows pretty hard and is quiet to average; it's far superior to the Vornado in my opinion. br>br>I'm basing this on my tower fan experience. If you take these two steps, everything will last a long time. A couple of times a year, take the fan outside and use compressed air to thoroughly clean the inside. The bottom bushing on all of these tower fans will also be the most common failure. When you blow the fan out, make sure to oil the lower bushing/shaft so it lasts a long time. br>br>This fan comes highly recommended!.
