Questions & Answers

How simple is it to disassemble this fan so that the blades can be cleaned? Is the fan's "grill" held together by clips or a band that needs to be unscrewed?

I've had mine for a while, I live in Arizona, and it snaps together, so I've taken it apart to hose it down and put it back together many times still in one piece, and we use the fan about 9ish months out of the year on 24/7, so it gets dirty quickly. It's very easy to assemble after washing.

Is there any way I can get a new remote?

You can reach out to Lasko directly by dialing 800. 233- Customer service for Lasko can be reached at +44 (0) (0) (0) (0) (0) (0) (0) (0) (0)

Are the blades made of metal?

No, it's made of hard plastic, but it's more durable than others.

When the fan is at its lowest setting, what is the overall height of the fan?

Around 104 cm (41 inches).

In order for this thing to work so well, it must rely on some kind of super-space science magic
5/5

Let me explain the situation to you. My house is a hot ninety five degrees with sweat pouring from my face, I have two fans aimed at me, and the humidity is 100%. I'm dying, the vertical silly fans barely keep up with the heat, and I can't help but feel frustrated as I look for a new fan on Amazon. When I see this jerk, I make a decision. What the hell is going on here? br>br>During the hottest days, I have to run the Lasko 18inch Cyclone on the lowest setting because I GET TOO COLD. br>In order for this thing to work so well, it must rely on some kind of super space science magic. I've never used it on its highest setting because it's just too damn good at what it does.

What did I just buy, by the gods of Zeus? First and foremost, let me state that I have made my fair share of Amazon purchases and have been pleased with them
5/5

This fan, in particular, was the most unexpected of all. When was the last time you bought something that was capable of going above and beyond? On hot summer nights, I came across a product that I will never forget. br>br>*Slaps the fan's top* This bad boy can hold a lot of whoosh! br>br>It appears to be surprisingly simple, and it is simple to put together. I'm a big fan of Lasko fans, but not this one
3/5

Lasko fans are one of my favorite types of people. Before I bought this stand up with remote, I already had three (2 box fans and one smaller fan for under my work desk). The air is moved efficiently by this fan. The problems I've had with this style are as follows:
1. The round piece that sits on the floor falls off every time I move it. It's impossible to secure it to the long neck permanently.
2. It is possible to adjust the height of the fan. A grip in the middle of the neck can be turned and loosened to slid, then moved to the desired height and tightened again to keep it in place. This one will not get tight enough to hold, and the fan will become shorter as time goes on.
3. This makes it difficult to use the remote. The sensor on the fan's neck slides down and falls below the item in front of it (the fan is at the foot of my bed and falls below the foot board), so it won't receive a signal.
4. Then it spins on low and medium, with a tap, tap, tap. It does it on high, but the spinning is so fast that you don't even notice. As it spins, it appears as if a piece is striking something. I'm attempting to determine the source of the problem in order to determine whether or not I can resolve it. br>Once again, I'd like to express my admiration for Lasko supporters. It's just this one model that hasn't worked out for me. However, this fan performs admirably in terms of air movement. I'll keep using Lasko fans, but not the ones that sit on the floor.

Air will be moved by a powerful fan
5/5

I bought a similar one at Costco and it works just as well; the only difference is that the front grill is plastic, which may be preferable in the long run because it won't rust like many other fans in high humidity. I bought several fans on Amazon, ranging in price from $40 to $200, and I'd say this is one of the best for the price, if not the best. I read a lot of reviews before buying this, and it seems like a lot of sensitive people dislike loud fan noise; however, if you use logic and want the powerful fan, it will be a little loud. If you want a quiet fan, go for a 16-inch model; it will make a difference. I recently purchased a 16-inch Best Choice fan, which was very quiet but did not move the amount of air I needed for the hot summer days in San Diego, so I returned it. This fan is very sturdy, with simple functions and a remote, and the quality of the plastic is actually quite good for the price; you can't go wrong with it. I can't think of anything else negative to say about it, so it deserves a five-star rating.

I have three of these fans with remote controls, and they are great fans that are relatively easy to assemble
5/5

The fans are well made, generally easy to assemble, and sturdy, even though I rarely use the remote control. There is no need for any tools. The front grill, on the other hand, took almost as long to put together as the rest of the fan. The grill is the final piece to be assembled, and it requires a small amount of stretching to snap into place. Begin at the top and work your way around, then double-check that everything is secure. If it doesn't snap on completely the first time, don't give up; keep trying (and cursing if necessary).

The fan is nice, but it's difficult to put together
4/5

For the price, this is a decent fan, which I use in my garage gym to keep the air moving during the hot summer days. There is no doubt that it moves a lot of air. The timer is a useful feature that prevents the device from being left on indefinitely. I don't use the remote, but I can see how it could be useful in some situations. br>br>I gave it one star because it was difficult to put together. Someone should be fired for coming up with the design for the grill. After a half-hour of trial and error, I was finally able to get the dangling thing on half-straight. I'm not looking forward to the time when I have to clean the blades and disassemble everything again. br>br>I like the fan and can recommend it, but be aware that putting it together will test your patience.
