Questions & Answers
This is an electric fan that you can plug in. There are no batteries in this device.
To support the fan, you'll need a back brace and legs. I don't believe you'll be able to use it without it.
Yes, I think so. Because the fan is nearly entirely made of metal, it should be able to withstand the heat. However, if the metal is exposed to direct sunlight, it may become hot to the touch.
No, I do not believe that is true. The motor assembly is not weatherproofed in any way.

I purchased this fan with the intention of using it for multiple purposes. It was easy to assemble and moves a substantial amount of air. br>br>At first, I used it to circulate air in my living room because I didn't have a ceiling fan. The air becomes stale during the months when the heat or air conditioning isn't used much. It does a decent job of it, but there is a lot of background noise. Second, as a potential fan for a greenhouse or grow area. br>br> Unfortunately, it is completely unsuitable for this. Unless you have a very large grow area, the force of the wind is far too much for plants. It has three settings: low, medium, and high, but each level only slightly reduces the strength. It seems" to be 100% strength if I had to estimate, 90- 92% strength and 85% strength and strength and strength and stre If you've already purchased it and the room is mid-sized, you might be able to get away with aiming it at a wall so it blows indirect around the room, but otherwise I'd keep looking.
This was purchased for use in my barn. And there's no way I'm going to be able to use it for my barn without worrying about it vibrating out of the mount or catching fire from constant duty in a hot, dusty, or humid environment. And please, God, don't let a fly get sucked in. br>br>The first indicator is the tiny, light-weight power cord. It's a fraction of the size of my 14" desk fan. The cage and mounts are designed to resemble an industrial fan commonly found in shops and horse barns, similar to a shoelace compared to an extension cord. While the cage was thin, it held up to a fairly firm but arthritic grip while trying to get it into the floppy thin mount/stand that is completely inadequate for industrial use. Unless it's for an office or restroom in a barn or industrial site, this fan will suffice in my spare bedroom; however, I would not recommend it for use in a horse barn.
It's an industrial fan, so it'll be loud enough for white noise if you like it before bed, and powerful enough to cool your house or refresh you after a relaxing bath. It's the industrial type of fan, so it'll definitely fit in our house. It has three speeds, each of which is twice as fast as a stand fan's normal setting. Even though it's set to low, it feels like it's running at maximum speed on any normal stand fan. It's also well worth the money, as quality isn't cheap.
I like how simple it is, how classic it looks, and how metal it is. I also enjoy the absence of a remote control. br>However, the sound of this fan is the only thing that is "industrial. " It isn't working for me. Do not attempt to purchase it for use as a residence. Because it's so loud, I can't use it. Before I bought it, I wish I had read the reviews.
Great fan with a lot of power, but the lowest setting isn't all that low. Not appropriate for a setting where peace and quiet are expected. However, it works perfectly!.
This fan is ideal for areas with a lot of space. We tried running it in our bedroom for white noise, but the velocity was too high, making it impossible to sleep with. As a result, we had to relocate it to our spacious living room. It's ideal for the steamy summers in Houston. Just keep in mind that this fan is extremely loud. It does, however, expel a significant amount of air. I'd suggest it.
This is an excellent heavy-duty fan! I have to purchase new fans every summer. They appear to have a one-season lifespan, but I believe this fan will outlast them. It was simple to put together and get up and running in a matter of minutes.
This fan is extremely loud, even on the lowest setting. It moves a lot of air, so if you live somewhere where noise isn't an issue, this is a good option.
