We tried our best to align the pieces, but the original locking mechanisms didn't actually lock. The pieces slid everywhere over our hardwood floors and there were large gaps between Having no difficulties installing these, my boyfriend installed them without any issues. It has not moved and each piece sits flush against the other. While he had to measure to make sure that everything matched up, he should be able to work without any issues as long as he does the measurements. I prefer these clips to the old two hole clips because they work better. This is a very useful tip. On one side it will be upwards, and on the other it will be downwards. Set the ones which point down two inches higher, and also put the clips which point down on the smaller or lighter sectional since it will be that which you will lift in order to move it. Drilling close to the corner of that couch is probably not a good idea, so move the clips several inches away from the edge. You should drill once after measuring twice.

found it kind of unpleasant, the cushions slid and the kids kept pushing them apart. They were constantly being adjusted. They were a last-ditch upgrade, so my fiance installed three of them in about 20 minutes by himself, excusing himself with occasional "honey, come here, roll that up". The brackets hold the couch together tightly, and the cushions do not move because the brackets keep the couch together tighter than you could do by simply pushing them together. I have been using it heavily for 4 months now, with 5 kids and a dog. I am very pleased with the results. There aren't any visible parts, and they can easily be taken apart for cleaning if needed.

Perfect! Just what we wanted! Having read the reviews, I found them useful. It is the chaise portion of our sectional that is overhung or has an area rug which causes it to continuously slide and disconnect. Hardware from the original computer was simply not cutting it in today's market. There is only one regret I have - not having bought them.

It's not that hard to install, but it can be tricky to estimate and depend on how plush you want your cushions to be This is what your couch looks like. When it comes to drilling into my sectional couch, I initially drilled all the way through, but then had to back out a bit since the padding was too soft and butting up against each other, the brackets could not connect. Should come with spacers or some sort of instructions.

Having owned my couch for 4 years now, my biggest complaint over the years has been the two sections drifting apart. Between every day sitting down and the dog jump up, I was constantly having to fix I was really starting to hate the fact that we bought a sectional four years ago. They are sturdy brackets, and the self drilling screws they come with are nice. In short, the brackets don't lay flat against the couch or whatever you attach them to, these raise the problem of not having flat brackets. Using the left and right edges as they stand will result in the furniture digging into them. Flattening them did not affect the interlocking tabs, but naturally, it deformed them.
