One of the other models is shorter without the armrests (although the seat is the same). Providing I stand up every few hours, I find it comfortable for the better part of the day. It has also been well received by everyone I've tried it with. The comfort of the seat is subjective, but I'm satisfied with it. Only downside is this program can be a bit clunky at first, but it becomes much more forgiving after a few weeks.
Since I am half a country away, I can't provide exact measurements right now, but will be glad to give them when I get home. An earlier reviewer had reported the set snapping off. I don't understand how that could have happened. My weight is more than 250 pounds and I sit down on this chair all the time. Its five legs provide the perfect balance. Despite its light weight, the chair is solid. It has become a part of my everyday living. I use it in the kitchen for everything - scooting between the sink, the stove, and refrigerator down to the table where I eat with ease and comfort. Should it fail for some reason, I would order another, sent overnight delivery, and order it as soon as possible. There is much more maneuverability in this chair than you would get in a wheelchair, and it is also more compact. There is an option to give 10 stars, which I would choose to do.
