At under $200 for a piece of furniture this size, they were exactly what I needed to complete my space. This space in my bonus room on the second floor needed a shelf to hold knickknacks and books. As I was putting the unit together, I also decided to add lighting to the bottom of each shelf. The shelves were simple to put together and are very sturdy and well constructed; I like how they look like reclaimed board from a distance, despite the fact that they are not made of real wood. For this price, I'm fine with faux wood shelves, and I actually like how smooth they are, making them easy to clean! br>br>This is a fantastic product at a great price!.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews of various shelves on a variety of websites, and I was concerned about the small number of convincing negative reviews on these types of shelves at this price point - they're made of imitation wood and have a shelf-like appearance lining. At the same time, I can't afford a better shelf right now, so my books have been strewn across my floor for years. I decided on this one after a lot of research and took a deep breath. It looks fantastic, which is a huge relief for me. It has a sophisticated appearance and is well-built. There is one shelf with some unevenness in a small limited area that gives it that "lining cover look," but if you get it, you can use it for the bottom shelf and flip it around so the flaw faces the wall. It doesn't appear to be a $600 bookcase, but it also doesn't appear to be a bargain. I believe it is a fantastic buy at this price point. br>br>Assembly br>br>Assembly br>br>Assembly My young adolescent put it together, and I finished it off by nailing the last four shelves in place. It's simple to assemble, but it takes some time. br>br>4 stars because of the flaw I mentioned above, as well as a small dent that doesn't affect my enjoyment of the shelf.

Stickers should not be applied directly to the finished product. The frame is mediocre at best, but the shelves are solid. The stickers were the main reason I returned two of the three shelves. I bring this up because scraping the stickers off took up a good 30 minutes of my hour-and-a-half assembly. One of them had a 1 on it. 5" by 0. "Made in China" was written on a 5" sticker. I recall the small gold stickers with the same message that used to come off so easily. You can have it back if you're going to slap it in my face with large, difficult-to-remove stickers. br>br>The only reason I'm keeping one of the three is because I had to endure removing the stickers from the first one to understand how irritating it was.

I'm fed up with my low-cost particle-based technology. I wanted some attractive bookshelves that could hold a LOT of weight because my board bookshelves were crumbling every time I moved them. This is exactly what I needed! br>br>Of the three different shelving units I purchased (by three different companies), I purchased three different shelving units (by three different companies). Ironck's version is by far the most durable, thanks to the thickness of each shelf (thicc!). There is no chance of sagging because each shelf is supported by three points and overlaps the ends. Another brand sold a *very* similar design, which I purchased - Aside from the fact that it is a 2-inch narrower It appears to be the same support unit - and the weight of ten art books causes the shelves to buckle. Because it couldn't hold the books, I had to repurpose it as a laundry room shelf. This Ironck duo consists of CAN TAKE THE BOOKS WIDE WITH 3 SUPPORT COLLECTIONS. I've got about 200 heavy art and music books packed into the unit, and it's holding up well. It appeals to me.

Following the reviews, I was very enthusiastic about this bookshelf. But I'm not sure it's something I'd recommend. The boards are MDF and appear to be of low quality. Each board's edges are covered in stickers. The edges of my shelf were peeling when I received it. I'm not a fan. There are a lot of positive reviews for this, so maybe I just got a bad batch? We will keep it due to the fact that it is too heavy to return. I would not purchase this if I came across it in a store.

I dislike how much styrofoam padding it came with. I'm just done with it. This pollutant must be phased out by manufacturers. Amazon should disclose how products are packaged and assign a sustainability rating to them on product pages. I would have passed if I had known that every shelf would be separated by styrofoam sheets. The shelves are not made of real wood, but of a composite material. The shelf graphics appear to be quite convincing. But keep in mind that these shelves are not made of "real wood. " br>br>In general, they are attractive and functional. br>br>I'm simply sick of styrofoam and plastic.

***This review has been updated with a new one. I was able to contact the seller, and they promptly sent me a replacement book shelf. All of the parts were present in the new one, and they were all in excellent condition. I've installed the new shelf, which is very sturdy and can support a significant amount of weight. The shelves are not bending at all, and my books are quite heavy (thanks to overpriced college textbooks). I'm updating the review with new images.
