  Let's face it, this isn't a joke. If you're thinking about buying this couch, you're probably looking for a modular sectional with a limited budget. When it comes to furniture, you really do get what you pay for, so if you're looking for a budget couch, you'll have to make some sacrifices. Because a couch is such a large purchase, I'll try to list the benefits and drawbacks here so you can decide whether you can live with these particular compromises. br>br>For the record, I've had this couch for six months and it's my only couch; it even served as my bed during a recent remodel. I'm a 5' 7" female who weighs around 150 pounds and has an adult dog who weighs 80 pounds. Due to the pandemic, I've also spent the last year at home pretty much all day, every day. As a result, it's seen a lot of action. PROS: br>br>
1. Fully modular sectionals are probably the cheapest, if not the cheapest, on the market. It has the same versatility and look as companies like Home Reserve and Love Sac, but it costs half as much. br>br>2. Every piece includes storage space for blankets, pillows, books, and other items, making it ideal for small spaces. The storage area is also fabric lined and essentially a solid box, giving it a leg up on Home Reserve. The hinges appear to be of good quality, and they keep the lid open on its own, preventing it from slamming down on your head or hands. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. It arrived in a fraction of the time I expected. I was told I had to wait 40 days, but I believe I only had to wait one. No more than two weeks. The arms and backs arrived the next day after being shipped separately. 4. br>br> Because the arms and backs are easily removed, you can continue to switch pieces around to ensure that it wears evenly. Every week or two, I try to switch them out. 5. br>br> I was pleasantly surprised by how soft the fabric is. Although the photos make it appear that the upholstery is scratchy tweed, it is soft and comfortable. 6. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> It comes with pegs that keep the pieces together and are easy to insert and remove. I don't mind it sliding across the carpet, but before I got my rug, it would slide all over my hardwood floor without the pegs attached. 7. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> It's pretty much a perfect American full-sized bed when all six pieces are put together. I've slept on it numerous times and have had adult guests sleep on it as well. I've even slept on it with my boyfriend and dog, and while it's not the most comfortable, it does the job and isn't as heavy as a pull out couch. 8. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> This is ideal for apartment dwellers and those with limited space. Each piece is very light weight and easy to move around to accommodate a variety of setups. I have an awkward corner with a bump out and a door, and this couch fits in there pretty well where no other couch would. I like that I can put all of the pieces together for a perfect movie/conversation pit or remove the ottomans for a more "normal" couch set up. 9. br>br> It's very light, and because the arms and backs can be removed easily, I was able to carry each piece up multiple flights of stairs and into my narrow apartment door by myself. I'm planning on moving out of state soon, and I'm glad I got this couch because it's so simple to pack and move. 10. br>br> So far, cleaning it has been a breeze. When I first got it, I scotchguarded it like crazy, and my dog hasn't had any accidents on it yet (hopefully). But, even if he did, I believe this would withstand the abuse of an upholstery shampooer. The fabric, as well as the fact that the backs and arms can be removed, make vacuuming and removing dog fur a breeze. 11. br>br> The design is both sophisticated and straightforward. This couch would be simple to repair, reupholster, or modify if you aren't afraid of doing things yourself or have some upholstery experience. That is, in fact, the main reason I purchased this sofa. I'm confident that if it breaks down, I'll be able to easily repair it, which means that this couch will most likely last me decades. CONS: br>br>
1. It isn't the most pleasant place to be. It was a little firm at first, which I like, but the foam seems to be degrading quickly. I rotate the pieces on a regular basis to avoid uneven wear, but the foam on a few of them is beginning to slant at the corners, making them look crooked. It's not a major issue, but I'm concerned that I'll have to recushion and reupholster this chair sooner than I anticipated. You can feel your butt hitting the wood underneath the cushion if you sit too close to the edge of a piece. If you have multiple pets, rambunctious children, or are a large and tall person, As your sole sofa, this will most likely only last a few years. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The arms and backs of the chairs are held in place by two small metal pins, as mentioned by other reviewers. This allows them to be disassembled quickly, but it isn't the most durable option. If your couch is against a wall, it'll be fine, but if it's in the middle of the room, the backs and arms will wobble as you move. When standing or sitting, my brother, who weighs over 300 pounds, has a bad habit of pushing off against the arms of furniture. Someone like that could easily demolish those flimsy pins by ripping them out. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. I'm not sure what's causing it, but some of the furniture does squeak a lot when you move around. It's a little annoying because it sounds like an old pirate ship, but it makes me worry that something is going wrong internally because it didn't do that right out of the box. 4. br>br> The underside and inside of the storage compartment have a poor lining. Because it's flimsy and stapled in at the very edge, several sections of the fabric have already slipped or ripped free of the staples. It will begin to sag soon unless I restaple it. 5. br>br> The legs are a complete waste of time. They look fine given that you can't see them, and you don't have to use them if you're happy with it sitting on the ground. However, they are made of a very thin, hollow plastic that cracked when I twisted it on. They also come loose and spin to the side all the time, so I have to retighten them all the time. I believe I will soon purchase genuine wooden legs. 6. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> The design is smart and straightforward, but it isn't widely used. Each piece is essentially a massive upholstered cube, and slipcovers like this are extremely rare. I've been looking for a slipcover that will fit for a long time but haven't been able to find one that will work. I'm thinking of making my own to help keep dog fur at bay and avoid vacuuming every week. 7. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> This isn't always stocked, and the backs and arms aren't always stocked either. I wanted to get more backs for this so I could make it look like a real conversation pit, but I'm not sure when or if they'll be available again. Other companies that make modular sofas make the pieces almost to order, so you'll be able to order extra or replacement parts even years down the road. br>br>Overall, because it's just me and my dog, we make good use of our furniture but don't abuse it. I'm not sure this is the best option for large families, people who are overly built or tall, or people who have young children or multiple pets who will wreak havoc on the furniture. If they want it to last for years, they shouldn't use it as their only or primary sofa. Even though I don't fit into either of those categories, I'm glad I bought it and believe it's worth putting up with the few flaws. I'm so taken with the versatility and overall design that when the time comes, I'm going to repair it rather than replace it. I would have gone with one of the more expensive customizable modular sofa brands if I could have afforded it. But I can't afford to spend several thousand dollars on a similar setup, so I'm glad I discovered Honbay. Coming home at the end of the day and sprawling out in my couch pit with my man and dog to watch movies is something I really look forward to. I love being able to rearrange this into dozens of different configurations for almost any size space or situation. Everyone who has seen it is enamored with it and has inquired as to where I obtained it. My mother has also decided to purchase the same set.

The bottom line is 100% the best fully modular sectional with storage you can get for the money you can get for the money you can get for the money you This will be the best home purchase you've made in years if you're on a budget. Honbay should stock this more frequently, or even expand into other colors and design options, so that they can compete with the other modular sofa manufacturers. Periodt.

This is a low-cost U-shaped couch that takes some time to assemble but has an interesting form factor. Each piece of the couch is held in place by metal pegs that you can slide into each of the two holes underneath the cushion. This package contains a few of the ottomans, a few of the ottomans plus pillows and the back pieces, and then a box with extra different shaped back pieces to make the corners. A dual peg bracket connects each sectional to the one next to it, and it feels very secure. Now, my only complaint, and it's a big one, is the give of the back pieces. When you lean back into the pillow, you can feel the back piece lean a little, and I can see the backs leaning or breaking over time. This wouldn't be an issue if the back was supported by the wall, but ours sits out a little due to the floor heating elements. I considered bracing it against the wall with wood or some other material, but this is a significant drawback that makes me doubt the couch system's long-term viability.

Very nice quality, and much more attractive than the photos suggest. I ordered the blue one, and the color is a little lighter than in the pictures, but it's perfect. The seller was great, and they communicated with us right away, letting us know that one box had shipped separately and even telling us what was in it. It was only the two arms that were broken, so it wasn't a big deal; we could still use the sofa without them. In fact, we received the sofa in just three days. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat. I was a little hesitant to press the buy button, but I'm glad I did.

I've never made a worse furniture purchase in my life. This isn't a sofa or a couch; it's a collection of inexpensive ottomans with a cushion that are held together by two 2 inch metal pieces in each section. br>It's literally a jumble of ottomans held together by two metal pins on each side. Because they don't speak English well, customer service was difficult to understand, and they botched up the corrections.
1: This sofa is delivered in sections, one for each seat. They're teeny, teeny, teeny, teeny, EACH SECTION IS 2 FT BY 2 FT! Then there's the matter of fitting a large pillow on top of that. My husband appears to be a colossus on this couch, and my ten-year-old, despite his diminutive stature, appears to be a colossus as well. The arms/back are then connected by two flimsy two-pronged metal pieces that slide into uneven holes in each section. It's INCREDIBLY CHEAP AND FLIMSY! It snaps if you lean on it even slightly. After a few days of sitting on it, the back of one of our sections broke off. What a load of garbage.
2. Each section of the couch is uneven, and the couch does not fit together flush. The height of one section is an inch and a half higher than the height of the next. It's unattractive and unsettling. Between the sections, there are large gaps that allow light to pass through. My son got his foot stuck between two sections and hurt himself pretty badly because there was such a large gap between them that he didn't notice. The back of the couch is so ridiculously uneven that we have to push it up against the wall to make it look and sit right, which our house wasn't designed for, and it covers our heat vents.
3. The 7-piece set cost us around $1,100. Even if it wasn't broken, it wouldn't be worth more than $700. It is inexpensive. A slew of ottomans with a clip-on back and a pillow once more. Four of the pieces in our initial order were damaged, and the corner parts were so uneven that we couldn't put it together. The zippers on two of the pillows were broken. When we emailed the company, we were told that we would receive a $200 refund. Four sections plus the corners of a seven-piece couch were damaged/defective, two pillows had broken zippers, and all they wanted to give me was $200 for a couch that cost over $1000! What are you talking about? So, after attempting to comprehend their emails and providing them with the necessary images, they were gracious enough to offer replacements. The replacements arrived while I was away at work, and when I opened the boxes a few days later, I discovered that they had only replaced four sections, had sent NO CORNER/SIDE PEICES, and had sent the wrong color to one section! THEN, all of a sudden, one section was an inch and a half shorter and smaller! IT DOESN'T EVEN FIT IN THE FIRST PLACE! AND, ONCE AGAIN, they never sent the corner/side pieces that were required to complete the couch! It's been more than a month, and there's still a bunch of sofa pieces but no nice couch. They keep asking for the shipping information for the wrong color they sent so they can fix the problem. They've asked for a picture of the label on it several times, which I've repeatedly sent. br>br>As a result, they still owe us another section as well as the corner pieces, which they continue to ignore. You CANNOT make different choices or construct the couch correctly without the corner pieces. IT DOESN'T HAVE ANY ENDS OR ARMS!
5. I have to reposition the pieces on a daily basis to ensure that they are properly aligned, or the couch will become wonky and uneven as the pieces shift. br>br>So far, we've been extremely dissatisfied with the couch and can't believe we spent so much money on it. It's cramped, low-cost, uneven, and unsettling. br>Do not throw your money away on this sham. br>br>If they fix the two damaged replacements and send the end/side pieces they never sent, I'll update this. If not, I'll leave the review alone and, if possible, add more photos.
